  6. Doesn’t seem as bad here this week than originally thought. Low 90s in the forecast. Then mid/upper 90s next weekend before it moderates. Better than models showed last week.
  7. Hope all the dads here have been having a great Fathers Day! Enjoying the patio weather before the heat wave starts.
  8. Forecast high for tomorrow a few days ago was 95-96 and now it’s 91. Wonder if the “ZOMG heat wave” next week moderates too. It’s still hot but 91 seems kinda normal these days.
  9. Always assume we’ll be hot.
  10. We're heading down to Old Town this evening to have dinner outside...way too nice to eat in.

  15. Lightning bugs are out!
  16. After spending the week in AZ for work where it was 105, this weather feels amazing. I honestly don’t know how anyone can live out there. Dry heat, my ass. It’s still hot. I basically went through a tube of chap stick and drank 500 gallons of water a day.
  17. Gusted into the 50s, lots of T&L, and heavy wind swept rain during the height. A fun summer thunderstorm!

  22. Well over half the trees at Deep Creek State Park have lost their foliage, apparently from the gypsy moth. I’ve never heard of that invasive species until a bartender at a local place yesterday was telling me what happened.
  23. This weekend is looking pretty unsettled so far. Not a cloudy washout but chances of showers and storms.
