  1. These threads have become a disaster this winter.
  2. Yep, I'm over 75% here. Could easily be over climo this time next week.
  3. Confluence was pushing further south over NE vs 12z so you could spot the further south solution taking shape. Ninja'd!
  4. Stuck at 31 at the house in McHenry with freezing rain. Per my Ring security cameras, lots of ice on the trees but don't see any down (thankfully). Hopefully can nudge above freezing there soon.
  5. Totally for this, especially high speed ferries along the Potomac for commuting...it always surprised me that hasn't caught on more around here.
  6. This is so badly needed and I'm glad the state is taking it seriously (they should also look at widening 270 north of Clarksburg). But these bridges will take 25-30 years to come to fruition considering the years of studies and lawsuits that will for sure come up.
  7. Your concern is warranted but I don't think you need to repeat it 3x in 20 minutes.
  8. If the 6z GEFS was weenie, I'd expect the 12z to follow it up with a double weenie dog.
  9. I'll be in Deep Creek this weekend to ski...would be great for the ski resorts if the GFS played out verbatim especially on a holiday weekend.
  10. Nice little event on the GFS. But I'm waiting for the debbies to complain about light snow during the day in mid February not sticking to the Beltway.
  11. Yeah they played really well. Tough arena to win in too.
  12. At least Beachin will be happy URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 757 PM EST Mon Feb 11 2019 MDZ003>006-507-WVZ051-120900- /O.UPG.KLWX.WW.Y.0010.000000T0000Z-190212T1500Z/ /O.EXA.KLWX.WS.W.0005.000000T0000Z-190212T1500Z/ Washington-Frederick MD-Carroll-Northern Baltimore- Northwest Harford-Morgan- 757 PM EST Mon Feb 11 2019 ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Snow, sleet and freezing rain. 13. 18z EPS wants nothing to do with snow in DC this weekend. Handful of members give DC snow.
  14. Actually it looks like a few members get us snow looking at the precip type maps on weathermodels.com (e14, e15, e19 to name a few) for this weekend’s storm.
  15. I heard Bel Air got over 5” but forecasted to get 1-2”? Anyone else hear that?
  16. Won't fall below freezing there until this evening. 0.1-0.4" of ice.
  17. And GFS follows it up with another storm on the 22/23.
  18. Nice to see the northern crew cash in. Evens out the forum now.
  19. Those are some big changes at 500 in the medium range on the GFS. I'd take my chances with that vort pass in February as Chris78 mentioned above. Still seems to be an evolving situation.
