  1. I screamed at the TV when the ref said no goal -- this is the perfect example of why replay is important for odd situations like this. I honestly didn't know that was a rule (but it makes sense). Ovi had him clearly beat and didn't come close to even making contact with him/the stick. Easy replay call.
  2. @Scraff did you watch the shootout yesterday? Thank goodness Toronto sounded the replay horn since the refs stupidly didn't count the goal (clearly the goalie threw his stick at Ovi). One of the most bizarre plays I've seen.
  3. Early cherries are definitely in bloom around here (well at least until this week with the cold snap)...saw another in Fairlington this morning.
  4. Getting deathbanded in yellows. 34 and all rain
  5. Raining pretty good here/34 degrees. Glad to see the 81/70 crews getting in with much better rates/growth. Hope y’all do well.
  6. Essex, MD Oops, I mean Winchester, VA
  7. Yeah the videos and pictures coming out of AL and GA are pretty ‘incredible’. Keep us posted how they are.
  8. hope they are safe. The severe storms/tornadoes down there are no joke with this storm.
  9. At least the MD/Michigan game is exciting
  10. Honestly, it seems like the fall line (ish) was the changeover since it was snow TV until getting off the GW Parkway. I live just east of the fall line on the border of Arlington/Alexandria and its mostly rain (with some sleet/snow mixing in that I can hear against the window now). It snowed the entire drive home (heaviest in Garrett and Allegany counties)...it was just starting to accumulate on I-68 in Garrett County as we left around noon but other than that, 68/70/270 were just wet. Not much accumulation on the ground after Allegany county. I stopped for gas in Meyersville and it was moderate snow, car thermometer said 34 degrees, and it had just started to accumulate on mulch/grass there. How is it out by you? I hope you guys do well.
  11. Left a winter wonderland in McHenry with heavy snow and 27 degrees. Got home to rain and 37 degrees.
  12. 26 and SN. Fluffy dendrites. Best rates and flake size all morning.
  13. Yep, bring on the ridge. I can’t wait for sustained 60s and 70s.
  14. 26 with SN-. About 0.5” of new snow.
  15. Painful to leave McHenry tomorrow morning. 6-10” on the P&C forecast. 33/rain at home in Arlington likely. I’d stay here and work remotely Monday but unfortunately have meetings Monday AM in person. Ugh.
  16. 0.15” of ice accretion overnight. Will make sledding later fun. Crunchy layer on top of the snow.
  17. Huge win by the Caps tonight!
  18. 27 and freezing rain. Love the crunch on top of the snow base here.
  19. 25 degrees. A sleet/freezing rain mix just started within the last hour.
  20. And a better hockey team in DC
  21. Not fair. Places that average much more snow than us getting more snow than us from this storm? What is the world coming to?
  22. Looks like the fall line is setting up to be the battleground.
