McHenry...we’ve been spending most of the summer here since I’m able to work remotely. This is the busiest I’ve seen Deep Creek...I’m sure with COVID, its caused people to look for vacations that are driveable vs flying somewhere.

How long are you here for? It's been a great July here. Morning low was 58 and currently 82...can't get much better than that.

The impact on inner cities, low income areas, and children in unstable homes is the untold story - the disparity in experience with online schooling is likely large vs the other end of the spectrum. Seems like school districts aren't being creative enough with how they can try to have in person learning.

Had a storm roll through about an hour ago here - dropped a quick 0.5" with lots of T&L. Cooled it down to 68 (currently at 71).

85.4 for the high so far. 0.5 degree warmer than yesterday. Big cell earlier missed just to the north.

Agreed....for the close in DC metro, this is pretty typical of average summer weather. Heatwave should be 95+ consecutive days here.

WTF is it with people driving even crazier than normal lately? We were driving back from Nantucket on Saturday - the BW Parkway was literally a shtshow....about 5 different groups of cars weaving in/out of traffic going at least 100 mph - caused multiple cars to have to veer off into the shoulder to avoid accidents. And the same can be send for any interstate around here lately. Also, I’m astounded by how many people don’t use blinkers...no offense to the MD posters here but I find its usually MD drivers.

90-92 in the Mid Atlantic shouldn’t be considered a heat wave. I think the average high in DC is 89 during the height of summer. I am so not ready for fall...we’re like 2.5 weeks into ‘real’ summer lol

I installed two of those Ring spotlight security cameras yesterday. Night 1 proved eventful. I woke up this morning and had a motion detection notification from about 1:30a in the front of the house. Huge black bear walking in the driveway and sniffing the car overnight - yikes!
