  1. Sorry Ravens fans, I need Kelce to score about 25 points for me tonight and the Ravens D to lay an egg to avoid going 0-3 to start my fantasy league.
  2. You must be mistaken....T-2" should be the only color you need around DC.
  3. GFS favoring the I-81 corridor with the heaviest rain this week, dropping 2”+ over that area.
  4. So much to do here and fall is no different - I’m sure your family would have fun and I’d be happy to give some recommendations! I laughed at the Alps vs Wisp comparison. I’d think a green Alps hill is similar to a black diamond Wisp hill ha.
  5. While we need the rain here, today’s weather was an A for sure. 72 and partly cloudy/partly sunny throughout the day. Although its noticeable how low the lake is right now vs normal. Hopefully we get some solid rains this week.
  6. Weekend project included relocating my anemometer (at Deep Creek). Originally, I had it combined with my temp/rain/etc sensor on my Vantage Pro 2, which has given me lame wind readings from the get go. My first idea was to mount it on the roof but I was worried about attracting lightning with a metal pole/tripod. So instead I buried a 6’ wood post into the ground - joined 2 PVC pipes together, painted them white (to protect against UV rays), filled them with sand (to give some more ‘weight’), and attached it to the post. Thanks @RDM for the advice via PM! While not a perfect siting, its way better than what I had previously as it’s about 15’ above ground. I’ll see how it does and may decide to do a longer metal pole and ground it eventually. Of course there’s literally been zero wind here tonight.
  7. It’s been about 3 weeks since we’ve had any measurable rain out here. Basically all of the 0.9” fell the first few days of the month.
  8. Wow, that’s impressive. You basically live on a bog now.
  9. Is that total since July or just this month?
  10. Raining when I left Arlington but lots of stars here. Gorgeous sunset tonight on 68...wish I pulled over for a photo. Currently 55.
  11. Literally makes zero sense.
  12. You may need a few more years of purse buildup to cash it all in for your snow globe retirement dream.
  13. I could see you complaining about lack of snow even on Tughill Plateau
  14. What's your September total? I'm at 0.9" for the month at Deep Creek.
  15. Multiple snow events in Deep Creek last November....actually might have had more November snow than December snow there but I'm bad at remembering every detail of winter.
  16. Even though the Nationals will most likely miss the playoffs, I love seeing them spoiling the Phillies chances right now.
  17. If that look persists into mid-October, it could easily lead to early flakes for the mountains. The later the month goes with that look, it opens the door for the far NW exurbs too (your area, etc).
  18. We’re using up all our good looks and patterns before winter.
  19. Confirmed in Cecil and Harford counties, unfortunately. https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/topics/spotted-lanternfly Anytime we’re hiking in Garrett County, I make a point to look for them - they are a disaster for the ecosystem.
  20. Interesting map but its odd that counties in the upper Midwest bordering each other have January and July results. It'd make more sense if the months were close to each other.
  21. 36 at Deep Creek. 44 here in Arlington.
  22. BWI: 10/26 IAD: 10/27 DCA: 11/9 RIC: 11/9 TB: 86
  23. Guessing 36 here too. Feels more like October!
