All caveats aside about OP 2m temps in MR/LR, but GFS has low 60s next S/M/T and upper 60s/low 70s Wednesday. Low 60s with the sun angle this time of year will be perfect.

Yep, sudden explosion is a good descriptor. My lilac buds started to open slightly especially with the upper 70s last week for a day. I'm sure the chillier weather the next few days will stunt it slightly but 6-10/8-14 day outlooks by NOAA all feature AN temps -- no slowing spring down! Also notice my eyes itching/tearing the last few days. Allergy szn.

Ha, funny you say that. When things are back to full capacity (hopefully next season), my friend and I are going to do a Canadian hockey trip and see the Caps play in Montreal and Winnipeg. I’ve heard great things especially about Winnipeg due to the smaller arena and the diehard hockey fans there.

Same! If Bowser doesn’t let fans back into Capital One soon, my buddy and I are going to head up to NY/Philly/Boston to see a Caps game in person. I miss going to games.

Lol, when I clicked on the Laramie webcam that Ji posted, there was a girl (“influencer”) in a tank top posing on the bench in front of the store with a photographer taking her pictures. That storm looks like all storms this winter in DC so far....white rain.

It’s a shame really. Ironically the USDA’s Soil Conservation Service is primarily responsible for the problems in the South (and now just as bad up here too). They planted it in the south in the 19th century to help with soil erosion. -

We are thinking the lakes region in NH although I’m not sure I could deal with snow when I’m retired. Then again we’re in our 30s so by the time we retire global warming will make it 55 in NH during winter. I actually tried to get my partner to move to NC recently but he likes this area too much and we’re closer to family in NJ, NH and NY.

Sorry, get ready for your 6” of snow next week in the northern winterlands . I’ll be enjoying the benefits of being in the UHI. Yeah, I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive...you can still be safe while dining inside (if you want). BTW, its the snark added at the end of your post that will antagonize and get the thread into the hamster wheel of arguing. Wish all of us would just drop that from posts.
