    Great!!!! If DCA gets 5.7” that means MBY has at least 9” since DCA measures on a hot stovetop behind the engine of a Boeing 737.

    I take it you’re not out at Deep Creek either? LWX keeps raising totals (now 12-18” in McHenry) and it’ll more than likely beat the December storm there. Great winter there...happy for Wisp considering the dismal winter last year and extra operating expenses due to COVID.

    Honestly at this point, just step away from the models. We’re in chips fall mode. And to answer your question, I’m confident DC gets at least 5”.

    Yes. Also go with climo which tells me a Nina Miller B, my max is a foot if everything breaks right. More likely 4-8” which is still entirely respectable and fine.

    Keep in mind the TT maps only show rain and snow for ICON. Green on TT can also be sleet/freezing rain.

    I love this idea...way to add some learning to snow. RGEM says you should plot at the 1” scale. DC climo says the 1/16” scale. edit: just saw RGEM snow maps. RGEM says you should plot at the 4” scale lol

    RGEM is rolling on https://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/cmdn/pcpn_type/pcpn_type_gem_reg.html and is out through 48. Front end looks good and precip is just changing back to snow through the cities. Will need to wait for the more thorough maps on TT, etc but I liked what I saw on here at least.

    This has been my philosophy too. If I get 5” tomorrow from the WAA, I’d be happy. CCB is a bonus.

    It’d be an epic fail even for DC standards if we don’t get 5” Sunday - Monday. I’m more interested in the WAA. CCB will be so tricky to nail down.

    As Deck Pic pointed out, this is really spread out. I’m putting all my eggs in the WAA which was about 3-5” in DC. Sunday will look pretty.
