    Discovered bark scale on our year old crepe myrtle today. Crushed the white egg sacks (as many as I could) and bought a few products I found recommended online. I’ve also got aphids on another tree I’ve been using neem oil on to rid. I guess I have some bad luck with trees!

    Got a good downpour for about 25-30 minutes, a bit of T&L, and ended with a really pretty rainbow as the storm was departing and there was some clearing to the west.

    He had some really big miscues in the series, several of which directly led to goals by the Panthers. With a team as fast / strong on offense as FL, you can’t give up the puck on turnovers like we did. The Caps at least put up a good fight - Game 4 was basically a coin flip with that ENG that just missed. It would have been a completely different series had that gone in.

    Went to Bourbon Steak in Georgetown tonight for a work dinner and sat next to 5 Panthers players including Hornquist and Barkov. Hopefully they go out tonight are too hungover to play tomorrow

    We don’t deserve to win the series losing Game 4 at home when up by a goal with 2 minutes left then blowing a 3 goal lead to lose 5-3. At least the Penguins lost

    Pretty wild photos from Rodanthe of the damage from the coastal low. NC12 closed in the area and at least one home was washed out to sea.

    The place was rocking, really tough loss. I hope I’m wrong, but last night had the feeling of the series decider.

    My nerves can’t handle OT hockey. Glad I got the extra beer at 2nd intermission.
