    Winter 2022-23

I’m feeling bullish on an above average year for the mountains. The analogs getting thrown around were mostly AN. It would be great for the ski resorts after last year’s disastrous December/start to the winter.
  2. Verbatim first freeze for McHenry.
  3. Really severe drought here /s/
  4. Only 0.01" here ....people were right when they were worried about it not really raining here anymore.
  5. 0.7” on the day….agree with CAPE - feels tropical outside.
  6. Definitely has the fall feel at Deep Creek. Light steady rain, 58 degrees. Where’s my PSL?
  7. High of 64. Currently 62 with light rain.
  8. sitting around the fire pit. 60/57. Beautiful late summer/early fall night.
  9. Early preview of Ji getting screwed in winter.
  10. Got to McHenry earlier tonight. Rain gauge says 1.1” on the day. Currently 58 and mostly clear skies.
  11. RIP Queen Elizabeth She led her people with grace.
  12. +1 for this recommendation. And that timeline is right (caveated for the year’s conditions, like you point out). I wouldn’t be surprised if this year runs slightly behind schedule given the 8-14 day outlook continues the AN temps.
  13. I had to double check this account was yours.
  14. Ha, I literally had thought that in my head as I wrote the post. Up to 1.2" now.
  15. 0.8” - happy to see the northern tier cash in.
  16. I thought rain east of the BR was supposed to be here later tonight/overnight?

Early preview of the mood in the MR/LR thread.
  22. Enjoy! Weather station at the house got down to 54 this morning. Currently 68 there. I didn’t realize Meadow Mountain was higher than Wisp and just below the tallest point in the county (which is 3314 feet)…thought it had only topped out at 2900ft. Good to know! First snowfall is isn’t too far away
