    Impressive! I bounced between 2 and 0 all night and got down to -2 shortly before sunrise. Coldest in two years. -11 is my record there since buying the place in Dec 2016.

    Yep, very familiar. I noticed a lot of new construction signs this past summer driving down through the area. We usually stop at Grandy on the way which is a bit further down.

    Spring is by far my least favorite season in the mountains…chilly/rainy/etc. I would assume Snowshoe is similar to Deep Creek — 40s…drizzly…cloudy.

    @vastateofmind - we don't want to see mud, wet ground and pavement. We want to see snow in spite of that gorgeous pink sky.

    I was watching that camera earlier and it was legit white-out conditions. I'm happy for Canaan and Deep Creek - they sure needed this after the atrocious start.

    Yeah I was simply referring to MSLP, low placement, etc and mentioned the window worth tracking for the very reason you show above.

    Not much support on the GEFS for the OP. A few members have storms in the east but its a mixed bag of precip. Certainly worth tracking the window.

    If the famed pattern change is actually happening in early February, a big KU or Archambault event would make sense around the 29th like the GFS showed. We usually seem to score bigger ones during those pattern breakdowns.

    That aligns with what I’m thinking in Alexandria. 1” which is a good stats padder and would get me to climo on the season. It’ll look pretty outside too in the morning. Double good.
