  1. Update on the LWX Radar: https://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/wx/afos/p.php?pil=PNSLWX&e=202009281850 Looks like no sooner than the 16th of next month. On Saturday, technicians from the NWS Radar Operations Center (ROC), based in Norman, Oklahoma, determined that a primary component for turning the radar antenna, the bull-gear, needs replacement. This repair will require 12,000 to 15,000 pounds of equipment and a six-person team from the ROC to restore the radar.

  5. Sorry to ask what might be a dumb question, but is this the last of the colder weather we are bound to see until the fall? Just curious.
  6. I'm going to DC for the Blues game on March 24th. Get ready for a freaking Nor'Easter that day.

  11. Those games might not mean anything though, especially if the Pats drop the Bills game. At worst I don't see the game against Pittsburgh being one we need for HFA.

  13. BWI: 6.8" DCA: 4.9" IAD: 8.1" RIC: 3.9" Tiebreaker (SBY): 3.7"
  14. Hockey season is upon us again!
  15. If anyone is taking the Skywarn online class, it was just moved to Wednesday due to the enhanced threat tomorrow.
  16. Can confirm, it's bad in SE Baltimore
  17. That's crazy, I'm about 5-6 miles away and it finally is stopped.
  18. Its. Still. Pouring. I can't remember sustained heavy rain like this lasting well over an hour.
  19. My dad lives in Fells Point, was on the phone with him when it was hailing there. Street is flooded from Fleet St down to the harborfront
  20. And the skies opened up over downtown Baltimore and Dundalk. STW until 615 here, pretty heavy rain.
  21. I'm on the waitlist sadly, found out too late. One of these years I guess...
  22. Speaking of rain, decent shower popped up right in Windsor Mill, raining heavy for the past 5-10 minutes
