the amount of rain we get will depend on the exact track of Ida and the speed she is going...in any event it will be wet...

meh...even the years with record lows the end of August ahd a warm up close to 90 in September...1986 comes to mind...it had one of the coolest endings to August and one of the warmest endings to September...

yeah 1979 from Feb 7th to the 19th had one of the coldest snowiest periods on record...

found some more that were recorded on Governors Island before 1869... 14.22" August 1826... 12.53" June 1826... 11.19" April 1854...

1978 and 1979 had the wettest January's...January 78 did have a big storm...79 did not...

I hope it happens in January...

I missed so many storms this summer until last night...at one point into the storm I thought for a second there was going to be a rain swept tornado but nothing major did happen except for the rain and lightning......

oh well...I thought I had the biggest storm but I was beaten at the last minute again...

just had the best storm of the year...I figured these high dews would pay off...still pouring...

if you like snow and want to at least double you totals from living in the city move to the Dingmans Ferry area and northward...the biggest snowstorm I've seen was the March 2017 storm up there...and it was two days after the storm...March 2018 saw another big event and wind event on top...Childs Park in Dingmans Ferry is still closed because of the damage done in 2018...Last February had another 2 footer...three two foot storms in five years...

I go over that bridge routeenly since 1972...My son has a home in Wild Acres...before that me and my uncle had one...it has a one dollar toll collected by the owners of the bridge...its been one dollar for a long time...

I was up in Milford Pa and it has its very own little heat island...it was 90 near Milford, Matamoras but as soon as you left the town the temp went down four degrees...
