  4. Also WTH is this from ILN for MBY, I'm sorry, we're not getting another 2" tmar or more! Tonight A chance of snow showers before 10pm, then a chance of snow, mainly after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Saturday Rain and snow before 2pm, then a chance of rain between 2pm and 3pm, then a chance of rain and snow after 3pm. High near 37. South wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Saturday Night A slight chance of snow before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  5. Got 1.25" IMBY this morning, season total now at 9.5" (also counting dozens of traces). Don't need yet another single digit season total since I moved to Dayton in '86.
  6. We had what I call a quarter of a skiff in Beavercreek (near WPAFB) this afternoon right before I went home from work, but nothing IMBY.
  7. Which model is that bombing SE Ohio?
  8. You know my stock comment, "32.1 degrees and rain'n like its 80 out" We've had really bad winters in Ohio, 70-75 were little to no snow ice skated all winter long as it was cold but never had to worry about cleaning snow off the ponds, most of the 80s were bad winters and 97-2001 was pretty weak as well.
  9. Well if I remember right, the March '08 storm tripled our season snow total for that winter, soooo???
  10. Its a flizzard! https://www.buckeyetraffic.org/reporting/WebCams/CameraImage.aspx?s=l&i=ada5ffe422f1471c999fedb3e4fab611 https://www.buckeyetraffic.org/reporting/WebCams/CameraImage.aspx?s=l&i=21d64fdcb9e5481fb7c4ed5f9b5d0cf0
  11. What's this white crap falling from the clouds accumulating about a 1/4" per hour this morning???
  12. and that makes Dayton the pee-hole on that map!
  13. Nice find, I was a junior at Ohio University during that Feb'84 storm commuting 12 miles, that afternoon the snow started w/temps in the mid 30s and it still pilled up at a rate of 2"/hr on the roads! For the April '87 storm I had moved to Dayton after I graduated OU and we got like 4-5" here, but my brother still lived in NW Athens county and they got 18" in 24hrs with 12hrs of thundersnow!
  14. The 56th Hocking Hills Annual Winter Hike is this Sat: https://www.hockinghills.com/winter_hike.html No winter this year, just heavy rain and storms: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-82.53822325821966&lat=39.42622228288968
  15. My grass is as green now as it was in June! I don't think I've ever said that in mid January.
  16. Hmm, 40 degrees above normal this morning IMBY, 40 below normal would have been -20F!
  17. Beckly WVA 3 to 5" late tonight and tmar, ok great
  18. Eeemmmm, I'd have those going in my smoker!
  19. '04 event 16" IMBY all snow, just 15 miles or so SE along I-71 was an ice storm disaster, my buddy who lived in Highland Co just 5 miles SW of Rocky Fork lake got all ice 1.5", took the local fire department 4 hours to cut all of the trees out of the his driveway and he was out of power for 10days!
  20. 32.0F and just dumping the..... rain.
  21. Same IMBY, heavy and wet, must have had double that fall to compact down to just under 4".
  22. About 2.5" during the past 3 hours IMBY.
  23. We're not too far from Thundervirga! Edit: Just started snowing here on the SE side of Dayton about 10mins ago, everything is white already.
  24. Ok guys, by some miracle we made it up here on time yesterday, sparing you the details, topped out about 15" here in Bedford, MA. Which means I've been through two major winter storms over the past month, none of which was in Ohio!!!! BTW just 40 miles NW of here got 27".
