  1. It will be all about elevation with this one. You can see the latest NAM is picking out the higher elevation spots like here in NW Chesco and Berks for the relatively higher totals (though still not significant.
  2. Here in East Nantmeal we picked up 0.08" of rain last night. Cloudy today before the rain moves in later tonight most likely around the 9pm hour from west to east across Chester County. Between 0.50" to 0.75" of much needed rain are possible across the county by Thursday morning. By later Thursday afternoon we will see some additional precipitation start to enter the area and this may well be a mix of rain and snow with higher spots in the county the most likely to see some wet snow. This mix of rain and snow may continue into the day on Friday before ending late Friday. Clearing and seasonably chilly this weekend.

  4. Agreed! Even the Kuchey looks overblown for low spots - this is the type of event where every 50 feet could make differences in snow totals...
  5. Euro not too bad as it seems to also pick out elevation a bit better like the NAM
  6. The GFS a bit more aggressive with significant snows even down to lower spots like ABE...
  7. Latest NAM seems to be doing the best picking out the more elevated spots seeing some measurable snow. If it is correct it looks like most spots from 500ft to 800 ft ASL from NW Chesco/SE Berks and northeast thru Lehigh/Bucks/Montco could see 1" to 2" of slushy accumulation with the amounts ramping up pretty quickly once above 1k feet and up toward the Poconos etc.
  8. The 12z ensemble run....which I put more faith in is not too shabby if you are from the LHV on Northeast bound.
  9. Euro comes in with up to a few inches of model snow that we will never shovel as far south as NW Chester County- Quite the model event for the Poconos
  10. Always good to see the German with a snowy solution....boundary layer will of course be a wee bit of a problem - but as always a little elevation may allow some on here to see their first measurable of the season.
  11. Today will be our last sunny day of the work week. We stay mild with highs well into the 50's both today and tomorrow before a shift to chillier air, much needed significant rain and even some snow depending on elevation across the County by Friday. Rainfall amounts could reach near 1 inch across the area - which would be our wettest stretch since the event since the 1.48" of rain that fell between September 25th thru 28th.

  13. Today will be our warmest day of the week with temperatures in the mid 60's for highs. We will turn slightly cooler tomorrow before a sharper change to colder by Wednesday night through the rest of the week. Our best chance of significant rain looks to arrive Wednesday night with as much as an inch in some lucky spots! Shower chances will continue through the end of the week, and we may even see some snow mixing in across some spots on Friday. Temperatures on Friday may not escape the 30's in higher locations.

  15. We should continue to see temperatures well above normal in the upper 50's to low 60's through midweek before a change to below normal temps to finish out the work week. We have a good chance of some rain from Wednesday night into Thursday...all fingers and toes crossed!

  17. Dry and windy today with temps well into the 50's to near 60 degrees. A Red Flag Warning is in effect through today so outdoor burning is not recommended. We stay mild through Wednesday and then chill to below normal levels and see shower chances increase Wednesday night through the end of the work week.
