Still some time for changes, but it seems like we’re getting close to locking in a 3-6/4-8 snowfall with highest amounts between EZF and 50/66. Worried about daytime temps and rates keeping things in check. Would love for double digits to be in play, but am skeptical.

Here’s a first…..arundel middle just sent out a notification that one of the school road entry points is blocked by low sagging bamboo from the ice.

Elevated surfaces are icy imby. Other surfaces are just wet.

Had another nice weekend in Canaan/davis. The rain really did a number on snow depth, but most areas out of the sun held strong with coverage. Trails were an icy mess though. Even had some time to stop in stumptown for some drinks. Blackwater sled run was crazy fast last night.

Anyone know what happened to winterwxluvr? Haven’t seen him post here since last winter. Last I saw he was still working on finishing up the new place in Mt Storm.

I’m going to miss this cold. We don’t get runs like this every winter. I’ve had at least some snow on the ground since the snow showers moved in the evening of Friday January 3rd. Thats a damn good run for AA Co.

Next few weeks are not totally void of chances for snow, but looking kinda meh attm. CMC: Dry as a bone thru end of month. Avoids any significant warm ups, but def more mild at the end of next week. Euro: Cold to seasonable temps thru next week and then a warm up the first week of February. Also dry. GFS: Similar to the above re temps thru next week, then a mid winter thaw in early February. Next mon/tue could be interesting for some, but verbatim all winter precip is far away from the metro areas.

Dec 21-Jan 1: Holiday Break Jan 6-8: Off for snow Jan 7-9: Late opening for snow Jan 16-17: Planned early dismissal for end of quarter Jan 20: Off for MLK Day Jan 21: Planned day off for winter break

Lowest reliable temp I can find is -16 at Canaan NWR. Got to 11 imby.
