    Starting at 18z Tuesday it trended weaker. Even yesterday it was meh. That can happen. Weaker jet dynamics helped cause it. Shortwave was coming from Canada which we know can cause issues until it gets closer to the denser monitoring near the US.

    The low simply trended weaker. Shortwave not as potent and rapid low development did not take place.

    I don't see a big warm up. Maybe we get warmer near the 20th? The warm ups 10+ days out have been muted as we get closer.

    We've had more, just noting that particular one. But I typically yawn at anything under 60. Give me 70+. Kind of tough here to top Oct 2021 for wind. That was NE not NW.

    Yeah, I think that was 2008. There were tons of water spouts over Narragansett Bay.

    NAM was never really enthused which was a red flag.

    Nw flow deals are good inland too because usually it’s CAA winds mixing down. Yeah east can be better due to pressure gradient, but it’s better than banking on strong NE winds over the interior.

    We’ve had a few NW flow deals that I can recall that really did some damage. There was one I think in Nov 2004. Heck in Jan this year we had one after fropa that did damage here.

    It’s not fraudulent, but there’s a reason high end is on the rare side especially inland.

    Hopefully cutters for Thanksgiving and Christmas week ski season.

    Probably 45-55 there. Maybe a gust near 60 here.

    They’ll be a burst of strong winds near coast but lost high end potential. Meh. Maybe we get convection
