Nice. I run my high ceiling fan backwards so it draws the cool air up which displaces the hot air without driving it down into the living space. Once you get air moving you find your AC is more efficient. Definitely shade those windows even ambient IR produces heat and windows definitely absorb heat. Run your IR on the window frame mid day.

Toys are the bomb. When we lived on the farm for 5 years I had every toy possible. I miss the tractor. Some day I am going to rent a mini Kabota to rebuild the front road facing farmers stone wall.

Run a floor upright fan from that balcony. I assume you have no ceiling fans. You have a stratified environment. Air needs to mix and move more. Could be undersized too but I would move air from that ceiling to create thermals . I would also invest in shades and curtains to block those windows out during the day. You are fighting a lot of things there.

My battery weed whacker has a brush cutter add on if I needed it. If it works as well as my battery 18 inch chainsaw it would be no problem. No need for me as we have left the forest to be forest. Massive grape leaves took the place of all the trees that fell. Actually looks beautiful.

So much easier with no gas issues

Lots of windows with southwest exposure, but at this time of year the sun goes over the house. Only late in day do we get some sun through west side windows. Put it on yesterday at 3pm. Inside temp was 80f. By 9pm, room was only down to 76f. Left it on all night. Room temp is 71; same as outside. Meanwhile ouu master bed unit got temp down to 64f. I took the IR gun to both and they are both blowing out 58f air. Good advice from Brian, definitely set it lower and run constantly. 58 degree air discharge is great. You will stay ahead if you do as Brian suggested. My floor unit has been stellar this year, house hasn’t been above 71. One bedroom window unit and one floor unit have kept the house at 70/71. We haven’t even used the lower floor wall unit in AC only dehumidifier. Despite earlier suppositions the floor unit isn’t loud and it’s efficient. My electric bill with the pool pump and AC only went up 33 dollars from June 8th to July 8th and I used 25% less electricity than last year. Last year I ran two floor units and 3 windows. Using fans on the ceiling and one floor unit I finally figured out how to cool my house at 1750 sq ft the most efficient. Helps being home all the time to figure it out. I even shut the floor unit off at night and just run one window unit and fans.

I weed whacked with my electric 40v Kobalt while it charged. Me with all my limitations takes me 2 hours to do both lawns. Plant garden has natural grass instead of mulch so that takes a long time to weed whack. I now have all electric battery tools including a 18 inch chainsaw, awesome as I hate gas with all the ethanol problems.

Snagged a brand new Electric lawn mower from someone who had to relocate, used twice at the end of last year. All components 50 bucks, I love it, perfect for me, lightweight. 1 hour between charges, gonna pick up a spare battery, it has a compartment for an extra battery.

Tried it one year, not much luck.
