  1. 19 years ago at this moment I got a call from our command center about a small plane hitting the WTC. What transpired from that second on for the next week is embedded in my brain like no other memory. A week later we received a direct threat to Foxwoods and actually had 3 fighter jets fly in really low and circle around. Scary times.

  5. Never forget. My good friend Hector a paramedic died from cancer from 911 dust last year. A first responder, army ranger and an amazing man.

  13. I can attest, some my very best workers were South Americans. Haitians were great too. My older Americans also had a great work ethic. Lost some how here by many over the years. I don’t understand why though.

  15. Keeping your service customers is key to surviving the down times, he is very cognizant of that. Service is not lucrative but it’s important as a safeguard if new construction drops
  16. My son in law own a very large million dollar a year plus in accounts plumbing business, is facing the same problem with suppliers but luckily has a good workforce and people looking for work applying. Carpenters, electricians are in very short supply
  17. Not to mention all these places that went part time with no Benny's like sick, vacation, leave, insurance. Wholesale changes started in 2008 and have gotten worse for the people without skills or education. I highly encouraged all my kids to either get a college degree or get into an apprenticeship. Still extremely hard for the younger ones. But sometimes you have to work at shit jobs until you gain the skills.
