Racked up another spectacular day, lowering humidity all day with a sweet NE breeze.

NJ has some good spots for sure. LI too but when it's a 5 minute drive or a hitchhike down the road not much need to travel for me. You would not believe how many times I hitchhiked with a surfboard between 13 and 15 years old. No problem getting rides either. I finally found a place to store my board at the beach in exchange for some yard work, painting. Free lunches and iced tea in between sessions were a plus. Different world back then.

North of there is correct, just don't know the name but I weekday anyways non holiday. Go there after Labor day, water is warmest, crowds are minimal. Sorry about people who only weekend warrior. It's a different world midweek, sort of like skiing . Been a decade since I was there and never took a shuttle anywhere

Meh I miss the beach so much. The vibe alone is just so cool. Laid back living, so many hours of just listening to the surf and watching the tide. Ass in a law chair toes in the sand with a cold beer in my hand. Doesn't get any better

Oh that's right. I surfed 10 footers off Coast Guard beach back in the day. Coast guard beach is my favorite beach in New England. Just perfect

I lived on the beach for 2 years. The mornings start hazy but clear by about 9 in this pattern. Inland gets CU daily and you watch them from a clear sky at the beach. I like the ocean in July and August as inland lakes get too warm and potential for swimmers ear etc increases. All we wait for is some decent swells. Can't wait. Its time

I had the best weekend in a very very long time. All the grandkids and family was over at different times. It was so nice to be together again, all outside and in the pool, playing games on the lawn and just hanging. Huge seafood boil with whole king crab , clams ,huge shrimp, mussels, scallops potatoes, sausage. Steak kabobs and the kids hamburgers and hotdogs. Topped off with grandma's special strawberry shortcake all hand made. The weather was perfect. Today I chill and enjoy the quiet though lol, pretty spent and a tad of a hangover cuz I rarely drink.
