  1. Want some cheese with your whine?
  2. Latest HRRR wind gust product
  3. Pretty much a LLJ jet issue here as many have pointed out. The transitioning core will go up the Hudson Valley.
  4. Yea Watch Hill Lighthouse would be my pick for an observation area. If Hunchie had gone to the Andrea he wouldn't have a beach to lay on as the tide should be up to the dunes. Full moon goon
  5. Full moon goon, finally found Weather Channel live stream as I don’t have cable. Lol Cantore getting raked near ILM
  6. Sting jet is at base of low which is to your west.
  7. High SSTs, moist environment, amazing how similar the water temps and summer were to 2011. It was those outer bands that nailed us. Totally different setup but similar mixing. April’s event and Oct 17 both had more mixing than expected. Hopefully it stays less mixed.
  8. Even a 15% reduction is damage. Keep it west
  9. Epic day down here humidity is tolerable and a strong tropical breeze. Its 5 o'clock somewhere
  10. Not really but there definitely have been some good gusts today which are refreshing
  11. Couple of things. SSTs are very warm, dews are moist. Any convective elements will be gusty above 50. Hopefully high winds stays to my west and south. Most of my damage storms though feature an anomalous southern jet with SE winds at the surface.
  12. Tropical or not the main threat in CT is the LLJ and any mixing down of those gusts. Every model this morning has that jet maxing out close by.
  13. We have watched the Euro gust maps with these southerly event storms and they have performed pretty damn good. Those maps are not any different from what Ryan said. When you see Euro soundings like this you need to raise HWW pretty far inland.
  14. Wind especially Hartford south and east. Eastern Mass is out of this one.
