You never said that it wouldn't verify at the time you only said you were being sarcastic. I mean if you want to go look its all there. Pretty easy rain forecast once the track shifted.
The forest canopy is much thinner after the storm. I can see the sky much more through my backyard canopy. What was dense lush solid leaves is thinner and unhealthy looking. The branches and twig clusters with leaves on the ground are crunchy.
I noticed today that the back side of some tree leaves on the south side are curling, lack of rain or maybe some salt thrown up by the wind. Extremely dry
I have lost power so many times that habit left me. Nothing better than waking up to the bathroom light on. Having a generator for the freezers, water and lights is worth its weight in gold. Bought 2 bags of ice on Monday as I paid attention to the forecasts. Put those in the fridges so I could turn the genny off at night. Ran the genny probably 16 hours in 60 hours burned 6 gallons of gas. Food is great. Actually ran the pool pump yesterday so the pool is good although I had to add water today. Power is good
We tried to tell them. We need to trade ambience for reality. Forests are in great shape according to Ct forestry report just issued. Trim the hell out of the trees, take um down.
Crews from Ontario were in Mass yesterday arrived today. After 10 days of no power in Hurricane Bob with 3 little ones and no generator I gave a case of Canadian Molson to a Quebec crew as thanks when they flipped the tripped breaker in front of my house I pointed out to them. I literally stood in the street and stopped the truck and bribed them.. All these guys are heroes their bosses in their Eversource Offices are zeros.
