  1. Seems to me we went weeks without wind until this month
  2. Scooter will say you scoured the neighborhood if one drops on your property because he only has one tree.
  3. Just jousting with Scooter. Glad we live at all
  4. Thats awesome. I remember 12 so well. Epic meltout. Boulders the size of engine blocks were banging against a massive culvert at SR, kept us up all night. Remember there was a big storm the first week of March in NNE as well. That said skiing rocked. Amazing when 10 feet of snow disappears in a week lol
  5. Top in traffic, top in pop density, top in covid deaths per cap, top in closed schools, top in closed restaurants per cap. So glad you live there and we don't.
  6. High winds again Sunday night Monday 45 to 55
  7. That happened to my house when I was in the hospital in Dec. They ended up on my pool cover.
  8. Wednesday this week looks like a winner. Today should be great as well. Lots to do before the crap weather returns.
  9. Massachusetts is probably the most weird place in the NE. Just ultra left libs making crazy decisions right and left. So weird. Problem is too many people jammed into Emass.
  10. ? Who said 10 to 14 days. More like 5
  11. Wow Phin lost that 20 inch pack in a hurry @PhineasC
  12. GEFS as well backdoor with NE winds and clouds. Sucks but early April being April
  13. Euro and its new mate still sticking to its guns for an April fools snow for you.
  14. My long time buds on here like to bust my balls about my memories of ocean effect snow on the beach in SRI. SRI had a private little OES event on 1 /20/05 which dumped almost 8 inches of snow strictly confined to a 1/2 mile of the coast in 05 prior to the big 05 blizzard. A clipper was headed SE into an Arctic air mass. Winds turned SE resulted in OES all along the LI CT RI shorelines. A band set up in SRI which resulted in a private snowstorm for the residents just along the Scoast. From 4 to 10 inches were recorded. Farther inland light amounts of 1 to 4 were recorded. Cool stuff thanks to Ed @Northshorewx for the images
  15. Ouch sorry for that memory being jogged. The real anomaly was the cold that was enveloped and stuck around. It wasn't your typical April snow melting the next day to oblivion. As 8611Blizz pointed out above, the snow was around for a while. It wasn't until late on the 3rd day after the storm did we even break freezing. Truly wintry in April for almost a week. As crazy as 4 1 97 was, this storm and the cold after was record setting. 4/7/82 is still the coldest April day ever seen in SNE, and the coldest 3 day April period ever. One could easiily argue the most wintry April period on record.
  16. Like I said always keep the grill clear, ya never know.
