  1. Nams are frigid with snow squalls damn, scratch that 3k actually has accumulating snow
  2. Enjoy your white out squalls Friday night
  3. Canada yo. Follow that science they say.... In mid-April a new pandemic lockdown by the provincial government was announced, giving police temporary power to stop individuals to ask where they’re going and where they live. “The Stay-at-Home order currently in effect requires everyone to remain at home except for specified purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services [including getting vaccinated], for outdoor exercise, or for work that cannot be done remotely,” a government statement says. The Ontario government proceeded to close all outdoor recreational amenities including basketball courts, soccer fields, playgrounds and, yes, golf courses.
  4. Damn hope modeling is way wrong next week. Another high wind warning coming Friday as well. Definitely not what we want for chill. Bring back yesterday please
  5. It was a bright cold day in April and the clocks were striking thirteen.
  6. Yikes 78 here under bright blues with some cirrus. Plant garden stuff coming up.
  7. The cold front will usher in a much cooler air mass. In fact, any lingering showers late Fri night into early Sat morning could transition into snow showers, particularly over the high terrain. Available global and ensemble guidance has trended colder, with 850mb temperatures between -2 to -4C late Fri night into Sat. In fact, this is around the 10th percentile for 850mb temperatures for our area according to NAEFS Ensemble Situational Awareness Table. The other aspect for Friday into Friday night will be the gusty northwest winds behind the cold front. With steepening mid to low level lapse rates thanks to a -25C cold pool at 500mb, expect strong winds to mix down to the surface. Wind headlines may eventually be needed for at least parts of the region, particularly the higher elevation for gusts above 40 kt. Overall, May could come in like a lion, with blustery conditions and possibly flakes in the forecast.
  8. A disturbance riding along a warm front isn't synoptic? Okey dokey
  9. Probably because our immune systems are pickled from all our exposures. Remember when they wanted young kids to get the chicken pox early to prevent bad issues as a young adult? As long as you aren't immuno compromised it appears older people have little side effects. Some younger middle age people like Dendrite get hammered. Will surely be an interesting dataset at some point
  10. 15th best we showed you the stats but you don't care. Anecdotal Kev
  11. Just a trace here. Going to be a nice day I hope

  15. You give too much credit to a wishy washy Govt organization. Just look at their thinking on Lyme Disease over the years. There was a time when Drs diagnosing Lyme disease were unlicensed based on CDC recommendations. They always have been a shit organization to me Sorry but your faith in the bureaucracy is a helluva lot stronger than mine will ever be. Shit a bunch of us non scientists of viral infection were screaming last spring that the outside rules were ludicrous and anti scientific.
