  1. Monday night sucked as bad as it could. Half inch to inch with flash freeze made for a long long commute. Glad there were few on the road but some were off the road.
  2. After Mondays disaster home commute for me I am glad it's my day off.
  3. If some areas initially get rain the recipe for road disaster there. Pretreatment washed away, moderate to heavy snow with arctic passage. Ice sheet highways
  4. That's a nice stripe. Congrats Scooter and Andrew Marshall
  5. Unlike others I am bullish on how this season is evolving. We are going to nickle and dime and cold for a while then it's action time. I think some are going to be surprised. JMHO
  6. Do 3k NAM jackpots count?, asking for a friend
  7. I remember my brothers telling me when they worked on the Alaska pipeline how there was a crew whose sole job was to knock ice off of temporary power lines
  8. Crazy micro climates. Last night we had a wet paste squall and because of some work obligations I had the joy of riding from Columbia Ct to Putnam Ct by mostly backroads. Atop my street at 785 feet it was an absolute paste job, when the full moon came out it had that Hoth look. Gorgeous stuff
  9. Next up in the discussion, vintage snowmobiles. I was towed on my skis by a car all around Westerly RI after the 78 blizzard, does that count?
  10. We can always change the title back. Tried some humor to lighten up the dark shadows crowd.
  11. You are a good man PF. Young people need more mentors like you. Instead of complaining about the next generation pick them up and show them the ropes or in your case where to duck under the ropes. Good job man
  12. 21⁰ total deep winter day with snow blowing around even if only a couple of inches. Nice to see
  13. Don't understand why people are calling it anafrontal. Sure a front passes but it's actually a wave developing on the southern extent which is pretty typically how LP develops. Many claim their hate for small events here but in normal winters they make up to 2/3rds of the accumulation days. The 12 inch events in fact are rare. Young people here are pretty used to the big event and disappointed when it doesn't occur but fact is most don't work out.
