I want to see 20 to 30 ft drifts again once in my life. On Rt 3 in Ashaway RI at the end of a half Mile field the drift from 78 completely covered the front of a church and was across the road at 15 feet and near 25 at the church. Ultra cool.

Good post but paranoia? Keep your expectations in check at this range. Modeled historical storms rarely work out. Best to be happy with a 6 to 10 at this point. If we continue on a historical trend well then crank it up. Too many people setting themselves up for major disappointment which I guess they will carry on to the next storm.
Tracking is cool but nothing at all compares to being in it and the results. Playing in it is far more physically satisfying and rewarding. Tracking is a mental exercise that is awesome.
Practically every winter has a cutter. To have PTSD over a common occurrence is silly. This 1980s winter stuff is also silly. I mean let's not forget Dec 81 Feb 1983 and April 1987
