  1. It is amazing how much snow they can make seemingly overnight. Gonna take a miracle it seems. But if they can KMART will do it
  2. Who said we shouldn't mitigate? Just think it's funny those dirt cellar peeps lived so long.
  3. Actually Mr Pope there is more than modeling to forecast a change. One can see beyond if you know where to look. I have the magic ring though
  4. Of course no 2 seasons are alike but I do like the similarities. It's always interesting in Nov to look ahead. Rolling forward as Will said December could indeed feature that Scandi Ridge. Think I had 15 in 2000. My first year on the Moosup Sterling border and the stark contrast with SWRI made me all giggly
  5. Only did a test run with the new pellet stove since I installed it in October. Ran the propane ventless last night before bed, it was 69 when I woke up. Still chilly out until that sun gets up there.
  6. Welcome to SRI the real God's country. Man I miss it.
  7. Month where I am colder than ORH due to fake cold.
  8. Left for work in shorts and a flannel shirt. 33⁰ but the diurnal spread is huge in this dry air. Heater incoming
  9. What a fantastic stretch coming up. Great for winter prep and wrapping up outside projects. For those so inclined word is big bass hanging on RI south coast.
  10. When my son was 6 he decided to do a jump from the rope onto his sister off the couch, missed and broke the propane line coming in the house. I was not home but my wife immediately packed the kids up and left. I came home shut off the valve outside and prayed the house wouldn't blow. I opened the front door shitting my pants, was able to open one window and left. Scary scary stuff.
  11. Have no idea how our parents lived to be in their 90s. Imagine those tests with dirt cellars. Radon DIY https://www.familyhandyman.com/list/diy-radon-reduction-system/
  12. He's awfully quiet today. No dumb Memes?
  13. I restocked the suet and feed yesterday and immediately a frenzy was on. Love this time of year when the migration is underway you never know what might pop in. I always find it amazing how the forest can go from perfectly quiet to a cacophony and then back again.
