  1. Good for the snow weenies down there. This is once in a lifetime stuff for some folks.
  2. They'll be a few that do much better than that
  3. So excited for you guys down there, some folks will see some of the best a coastal snowstorm has to offer...at least briefly. I think someone will get close to a foot
  4. I feel like this is pretty darn exciting!! Some places down there will at least briefly see S++,maybe even a little TSSN.....They're gonna loose their minds
  5. Some pretty heavy looking snow returns just SE of Lake Charles lol....Blizzard Warnings down there!
  6. I don't want any fires but it would be nice for spending time outside.
  7. If we're gonna get boned here, I hope it's an inch or less. This town does a horrible job with the roads and I have stuff to do. Maybe we'll put this cold air to good use in February. I think I am punting the rest of this month.
  8. Be something to get some juiced southern stream system to ride up the coast and overrun next week's butter temps to produce a region wide powder keg. That would really be old fashioned style winter weather.
  9. The lightest dusting last night. Like fine powdered sugar to finish off a dessert presentation. It was really cool last night as the very light and very fine snow drifted down under a hazy moonlit sky.
  10. None of this is shocking but the cold, at least through Thursday doesn't look that out of the ordinary for mid winter. Difference being were not used to it. But all bodies of fresh water will freeze solid all the way to the south coast and the weather will be fine for winter sports on the ice. Ski resorts will be able to make plenty of snow.
  11. That November had some frigid weather too. I remember upper teens under at least partial sunshine and gusty NW to 30 mph. While the Thanksgiving snowstorm was meh the few inches that did fall blew and drifted all over the place under mostly cloudy skies and temps falling below 20F
  12. Pretty impressive stretch of cold. The range at CEF over the past five or six days is 1 to 33. The two afternoons where it did get to 32 and 33 was just for a few minutes. We've only received about or just under an inch of snow between the two events but there's still a good quarter inch left. Just amazing at the retention this time of year with decent cold. All in all not a bad month of winter weather here in the lower PV.
  13. I lived in Bristol CT back then and I only had 60 inches while a few miles north BDL had close to 90.
  14. Early morning inch brings us to 4 inches on the young season so far.
  15. It's been somewhat wintry at times the past couple weeks. Nothing major but it's something. Too bad about later next week and beyond but at least we're used to it now.
  16. An inch here in the heart of death valley. Very good snow growth for awhile very early this morning.
