Same sentiment here. Happy for those south of the VT border finally cashing in, but just a bit to freshen things up would be nice. Seems like storms with the right airmass to get both a northern and southern NE hit is a thing of the past.
Be nice to see an old fashioned storm go from Hatteras to Gulf of Maine giving everyone from Virginia to northern Maine a good snowstorm and with a legit cold air mass in place. It has been so long.

Hartford is CT river valley…we do better most all the time than they do. But whatever.
Bristol/Southington def does better on average. I lived in Bristol for 30 years. The River valley is a whole other beast.

The only thing that would have made 2013 better for me was if it was during the day. Since I moved into the area in 04-05, it's the only legit 20 inch plus event here, anything from 21 to 24 would be acceptable for a storm total here

I'm starting to think I got incredibly lucky with the Jan 7 event

That is crazy...that is the Blizz of '78 for them. I am suprised occlusion didn't cap that a bit more...60"?? Wow....must have been some insane banding.
I was watching some video, it's just insane. Near zero vis at times.

I wish I measured correctly for 1/22/05 though it was pretty difficult. Had between 26-28" depth the next day
That's a monster storm. I think you could say you had 30 inches and be very realistic. How did you do in the clipper a few days later and did your overall depth increase?

A few sprinkles here this early morning.

The overcast got bright for a couple hours earlier. The sun even peeked through. I could feel my mood actually improving. Now back to the dark overcast. FFS this sucks.
I know. It was nice here too for an hour or so earlier. Day ten of mostly cloudy or cloudier/rain/snow etc

Good for Northern Maine, at least someone gets a few inches.

Today is the 4th day in a row I have seen at least a couple snow flakes. I guess that's days and days. DIT nailed it.

Cloudy and grim but with a little icy snow on the ground it does feel wintry.

Maybe a clipper will pop up

Still getting some kind of wintry hybrid flurries....nice overcast northerly breeze ....it would be a really true wintry day with a colder air mass in place over the weekend. Kinda sad.

Been back to some sort of mix...just continuing to waste precip. I mean when is the column going to finally cool enough?? Such a dumpster of an event. Gross.

We had a burst of snow at some point. Up to just over an inch now.

Had a period of wet snow...lightened up now...quarter inch or so

Sounds like a cold rain storm down here, maybe a coating for Monday morning. What luck at prime climo and great track lol

January 7 was three times better than Jan 30, 2022 IMBY....not close.
Same here... I HATED that storm. Four inches of Arctic sand

This thread is hilarious today. Thanks for the entertainment fellas.
There seems to be more red flags than a bull fight with this system.
