Ground truth it’s coming down nicely here still. Not epic but a good early season event.

What radar product do you use and you did say you have been at a bar all day right..
Lol. Agree it isn’t super pretty but ground truth is fairly impressive. I love my 4-8’’ call. Might be a little nervous if I went higher than that.

So essentially the radar is not as bad as it appears?
Don’t think it is bad at all.

Still ripping here. Don’t really understand the pessimism looking at radar.

What are you at?
Idk we’ve been hanging out at the bar all afternoon but based on eyeball we’re around 3-4’’.

Kinda surprised you’re only at 1.25’’. Not that far from here and same elevation.

Pouring snow. Heaviest of the day.
-
Ripping and getting windy. Definite nor’easter feel but I think this ends up a hair short of memorable, at least around here. Don’t think widespread power problems manifest themselves.

Have to see what happens over the next couple hours, but the 18z nam dumps another 1"+ qpf over SE NH after 21z ...well see
Yeah it really croaks us over the next few hours. I’m a little skeptical but we’ll see.
-
Really ripping now. Probably the heaviest of the day so far.

Snow rates not exactly impressive right now.
Just started to pick back up the last minute or so but was just about to post the same thing.

Man it’s ripping fatties. Don’t have a ruler but looks like about 2’’ OTG. Hard to tell if it’s sticking to the trees since there are hardly any trees downtown but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some power issues later on today. Maybe on a thanksgiving 2014 level?

Roads are already shit here. SN
-
Cars and grass getting coated now. This is going to be a nasty paster here. Figured we wouldn’t flip for another hour or two.
-
Ripping parachutes.
-
Starting to mix in a lot of cat paws. Down to 37F.
-
Some splats on the windshield but it’s going to be a while yet. 40F
-
Not even that cold a rain here lol...42F on the car thermometer on the way to the gym. Gonna be fun to watch this flip.

Thanks for the insight Walt.
I agree that we’re prob looking something more like 6-10 for high terrain interior MA and not those 15” totals. I guess 12” could happen if we start seeing a changeover soon. Melting layer on BOX radar looks to be around 1500-2000 feet.
ORH went from 40F to 38F last hour. I suspect mixing will start around 36F
Yeah I still like 4-8'' here and 6-12'' in the hills. Going to be tough to put up double digits, esp outside of elevation when it's a 6-8 hour paste thump, even if it's a hell of a thump.

I’m thinking between 10-11 change over here. NW hills already snowing, . Temps dropping fast
Yeah I think that's about right. Around 16z for you up through the ORH hills and around 18z interior lowlands is my guess.

Dropping quickly the last 30 minutes. Down to 37.8
Going to be elevation FTW, especially early on.

Yes, these temps are barf worthy everywhere in SNE. Dynamics better be good lol?
Not worried about a bust or anything, but this airmass is putrid. This could’ve been something else if we had a decent airmass.
