  1. I'm not sure what's more depressing. Gas prices, war news, or our upcoming forecast after today...
  2. I think we warm up soon. Rain has stopped and the overcast seems to be breaking.
  3. I know. Keep on posting them. I was just funnin' with you guys...
  4. I wish you guys would stop snowing on my warmth parade...lol
  5. What is this wind you speak of? My max gust so far today is/was only 8.1 mph.
  6. Cold out this morning. 12 here in Tower City where I'm loading, but it was as low as 8 on the truck thermometer as I was rolling down I-81 on the ridgetop.
  7. We don't have to as the water plants aren't real picky as long as the insides are sanitized monthly per the regulations, but I am. Outside cleanliness reflects (pun not really intended, but...) professionalism on the part of the company and the driver.
  8. Every other day, rain and/or snow chances. Anything close to the freezing point brings the salt trucks out up here. I just can't stand it anymore. Other than the fact that I hate a dirty truck (Jeep too) I don't know why I keep wasting my time washing the things...
  9. Oh, but Penndot salted I-81 up north of Tremont. My truck and trailer are a mess...again.
  10. Had some black ice and a closed road due to a crash to deal with this morning. Last night rain and this morning's 30 degree low was the culprit.
  11. We still have some on unpaved surfaces, but yes, a lot of melt off yesterday afternoon.
  12. Same. Actually 23.7, but rounded up per protocol...
  13. What did you end up with? That dryslot killed my total. I only got 0.38" in my gauge.
  14. Melt off reveals that I ended up with 0.37" of liquid from the event today. We had approximately one inch of sleet. I didn't measure the ice accretion, but I'd venture to guess it wasn't much more than 0.10".
  15. Finally cracked the freezing threshold. Up to 32.7 here now. The Jeep is cleaned off, and the sidewalks shoveled. Now, to work or not to work, that is the question. Not sure it's worth it to go for just a half day at this point. Not to mention that there is a rollover tractor trailer on the Blue Mountain on 309 tying things up currently...
  16. Temp is going up pretty quickly here. At 4:00 when I woke up, it was 27.1 and now it's 29.3, so how long I stay below freezing is the question. Still, I'm not going in to work for at least awhile yet, if at all. It's not worth wrecking a truck, and perhaps causing injury to myself or someone else for a load of water...
  17. Yes. Huge dry slot. I think some of the models picked up on it yesterday. Still, sometimes you get a mist/drizzle in those dryslots, so that could be worse than a deluge, as things glaze and ice faster in a drizzle.
  18. 30 degrees on the nose with a DP of 17. Me thinks things get interesting overnight here.
  19. Nope. My neighbors heating oil truck does, though.
  20. You and I are going to have to carry the torch this summer in this forum...and the pun is most certainly intended...lol
