  1. It's just the lingering aspect. I don't like cold and snow, but I can accept it from mid November to mid March in its season. Now that we're close to May, I want the mild to warm weather to be consistent.
  2. Dear God...NO. Enough is enough. And I'm not trolling. I've seriously had it...
  3. Yeah really. I got zero inches in Tamaqua proper. That says I got 2.1 inch.
  4. I know you do, but any May snow is going to make me pray for November 80's...lol
  5. As long as the long range is really long...like this November, you guys are ok...
  6. I agree. If they do, we may have to go hunting...
  7. Nice. I guess I'll be seeing that in a little bit.
  8. So...we got no snow accumulation in Tamaqua at all. Not even in the grass. I-81 was a different story as there was about 3-5 inches up there. Here in Tower City they got about an inch. I guess the low was just west enough to keep us mostly rain all night. Event total rainfall was 1.76 inches, so those models that were spitting out 10+ inches of snow WOULD HAVE been correct if it were cold enough, and it was January instead of April.
  9. At this point that would be fine with me. If I can't see it fall, then I don't need to wake up and see it on the ground.
  10. Same here. That heavy band brought rising temps both at the surface and aloft. I'm at 36 again in the backyard, and the upper levels have warmed as well. I thought it would get here as snow, but... Perhaps there was a legit reason CTP lowered my totals with their evening forecast.
  11. Yes it can. I live close and worked up there for years. As for that line of heavy precipitation moving north, it appears to really be moving. I'm thinking (hoping) it'll be here in an hour so I can see at least a little bit of "the show".
  12. Impatiently for me, but even if it does, I have to go to bed early for work tomorrow, so I'll likely miss the big show (if there even is one)... Right now, that is one ugly dry slot, but one that I've seen far and away too many times over the years.
  13. I don't know. I've not usually done well with developing coastals. They more often than not underproduce and disappoint.
  14. I'll tell ya. I'm right on the edge (due to elevation of course) but while I mostly rain, the whole I-81 corridor from Tremont/Tower City up to Hazleton is a winter wonderland. I have no doubt that if I hopped in my Jeep and took a five mile ride up to McAdoo, there's at least an inch or two on the ground already, and probably just one mile from the house up 309 in Hometown has a coating. In these kinds of events, it's how we roll here. An elevation of 1,200ft seems to be the magic number most times.
  15. NWS really dropped my snow forecast. This morning they were saying 1-3 inches. This is my new forecast. Tonight Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 3am. Low around 32. East wind 6 to 13 mph becoming north after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  16. Getting a bit of everything now, so I believe we are transitioning. Dropped another degree to 35.
  17. Starting to get some pingers mixing in, so the upper levels may be getting colder. Still holding at 36 at the surface, though.
  18. Still plain rain here. Temp down to 36. Crazy how low elevations near the MD line are all snow, and here at 800+ feet I'm all rain.
  19. All rain to start here in Tamaqua. Temp crashed from 46 to 38 almost immediately, though.
  20. I have a postage stamp sized yard so I have a battery powered cordless mower. Just bought it a few weeks ago to replace the corded electric one that was 15 years old. Check out this 511 cam on US22 at Gallitzin. Who says it can't accumulate on paved surfaces during the day in late April???
  21. Lets see. If I wait until 2pm when it kicks in, I can mow my grass while under an active winter weather advisory, which would be a first for me...lol
