  1. I'll post a final tally later tonight or, more likely tomorrow morning, as it's still lightly raining here. It does appear to be winding down though.
  2. I knew it. Five straight workdays of sunshine and then... Saturday A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  3. Radar, while having that banding look, also appears to be drying out as well. Rain coverage is becoming spottier as the afternoon progresses.
  4. I was down as low as 43.2 a little while ago, so perhaps a few flakes mixed in up there? Anyway, looking at radar, the coastal low is quite apparent with the banding features that seem to be setting up now. Although we, too, are in a bit of a lull. I'm sure some heavier bands will occasionally pivot on through. Up to 3.30" in the backyard gauge as of 3:50pm.
  5. No wonder you guys have flood warnings out there. As it is, I'm surprised that advisories haven't advanced eastward into the coal region. Mt Holly hoised them this afternoon for Carbon County and the Poconos.
  6. That sucks about your siding. The winds this year have been rough. We have a broken wooden fence from the wind a couple weeks ago. As for the Phillies, I highly doubt they play that game. Why wait to make a decision that's pretty obvious.?
  7. 12:30pm and my temp is currently 44.1 degrees with 2.91" in the gauge for the entire event so far. At least we don't have the wind you have down there, but good God is it cold and raw outside.
  8. With that last heavy burst, I'm up to 2.61"
  9. Up to 2.43" now while getting the heaviest rates of the event so far.
  10. Cracked the 2 inch mark a few minutes ago. Currently sitting at 2.03" for the event up to this point...
  11. 1.65" for the event so far in my backyard. The heavier rains that i posted about earlier along I-81 in VA now appear to be headed for DC, I-95, and South Jersey.
  12. Looks like a lot of rain spinning up the Virginia mountains along I-81 headed this way...at the moment anyway.
  13. You're welcome. I thought it was cool that someone's hometown got a shout out.
  14. Cashtown got a Facebook shout out today...
  15. No we don't. I will say though that this nice soaker is good for my mother in law's backyard. I graded and re-seeded it two weeks ago, and it just started to sprout. This rain, and the sun next week, should push it nicely.
  16. So what's causing the blob of excess rain in Central PA? Every global and meso has it in nearly the same area. Everywhere else around it, the totals are about 1/4 to 1/2 less.
  17. Add 10 degrees to both and you have my perfect weather.
  18. I'm sure you are, but curiosity is going to get the better of me. Who knows? It just might be the motivation I need to make the move to go out to AZ and help my mom, who really does need assistance due to her ailing health. I probably should already be out there, but the wife won't go. I struggle every day with what the right decision is. Do I do a temporary, long term move without the wife and help my mom, or do I stay here, and leave mom to fend for herself? She's 95% alone out there, has severe COPD, and can barely see due to macular degeneration. Even if she agreed, I'd never put her in an assisted living center without being out there to monitor how she'd be treated by the staff.
