  1. It sure doesn't look like it right now.
  2. I got .36" overnight/this morning in my backyard, but 1.50 to 1.91 inch fell in local pws's in Andreas as a storm hit right as I was arriving at our shop this morning. It was an all out deluge. Water and mud was flowing across the road leading in, and our parking lot was a 2 inch deep lake.
  3. No. My company is a mom & pop. I'll probably have to take a leave of absence/quit and then get temporary work while I'm out there since I figure I'll be there for at least a few months.
  4. Well, it looks like I'm going get the weather I crave. My mom's neighbor, and "caregiver" has decided that he's not going to do it anymore. Since my mom has macular degeneration and can't drive because she can barely see, and also has significant COPD, I will be, at least temporarily, moving out to Arizona to care for her, tend to her needs, and see what kind of in-home assistance she can get, or, in a worse case scenario, look into nursing homes for her. Even if she were to agree to come back east, it will take time to get everything sorted out. It won't be a pleasure cruise, but depending on how the situation plays out, I may stay out there at least through the winter before I come back to PA.
  5. Ten degrees cooler than you all week up my way. My highest high is 89. I hate living in the mountains...
  6. Post your July rainfall to date if you have 'em. For me, only 0.48" so far.
  7. That moment when you're a heat miser and find out that London England might hit 102F this week....
  8. Yup. They mentioned it, and they actually went off to check another barrel (which is where at least one was found) to see if it had another one.
  9. If you think it's been dry here, you "ain't seen nothing yet"... Check out this video of Lake Mead and how far the water level has dropped. The drop over 20 years is impressive, but how much it dropped just this past year is astounding.
  10. Anyone notice that SEPA, including Berks County have flood advisories? They're getting some slow moving storms/downpours down/over there right now.
  11. Berks, Chester, and Montgomery flood advisories going right now.
  12. 0.15" here. Done now for the most part.
  13. Well I may get some sprinkles or light rain, but looking current radar, the heaviest cell looks to go north of me. Side note, we did have nice rumble of thunder, although it seems like it may be a "one and done" event. This summer's been so frustrating on multiple levels, and not all of it is weather related.
  14. A northeast movement on radar would indicate that I see some rain this afternoon. We shall see. @candersonyou got a taste of the Tamaqua Split I see. You know, since I coined that term, I get royalties...
  15. Thanks! Yeah, the anthracite mine owners were not known for treating their employees well. If you get a chance, watch "The Molly Maguires" movie that starred Sean Connery as Jack Kehoe. The tour guide touched on it a bit, but there was a lot more to it all. All of it happened right here in Eastern PA, and in fact Jack Kehoe is buried in old St Jerome's cemetery about a mile from my house. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066090/
  16. He's not trolling us. And you aren't one of us. You only pop in here to stir up shit. Do as trainingtime said, GTFOOH...
  17. Cloud clip is about right. All well see is clouds, no rain...
  18. I'll tell you. Our springs are not replenishing as fast as before. The water tables are dropping and the silos are not refilling fast enough. I sometimes take three loads to Sunbury, but soon I won't be able to. By my third load, I'll have to sit and wait until the silo was full enough to fill my trailer. Up until now, that wasn't a problem.
  19. 89.6 for my high today. I know procedure is to round up with the point six, but to me, that's a cheap way to get a 90.
  20. Ouch on that last part... I'd have a hard time dealing with that.
  21. What makes your location so much warmer than everywhere else?
