  1. I can't understand why year after year, so many storms want to cut. Then all we (now you) end up with is Miller b's that sometimes do well. Many times they're either incredibly tainted, or you get the dryslot from hell.
  2. That's the one thing. Phoenix is generally cooler than Florida overall during the winter, partly due to less humidity. That's why our average lows DJF are in the low to mid 40s. With that said, we dont get the extreme cold northern Florida can get during an eastern US arctic outbreak. Frost and below freezing temps are are rare in the Phoenix metro area. The orange groves around Phx never took the hits that central Florida did over the years.
  3. Same here. When one thinks of AZ or CA it's almost always Phoenix and Los Angeles. But those mountains...lol
  4. That I knew, but Ocala is down the peninsula some. I figured temps that cold didn't make it that far south.
  5. Wow...I had no idea it could get that cold down there.
  6. Wow...Friday is downright frigid by Ocala standards. By comparison, with the pattern change, we may be flirting with 70's by Christmas weekend.
  7. My view at the moment. Delivering at Petsmart in the Camelback Colonnade in central Phoenix.
  8. No ice or sleet, but it's below freezing this morning here at the Sun City abode...
  9. Guess it would have be a fun ride up to Sunbury from Tower City this morning...
  10. This is the kind of day I hated and dreaded back there. Precipitation onset after I started my work day, so that I'd be stuck out in it instead of being safe at home.
  11. If the 0z Euro is to be believed, some of you may have the whitest white Christmas you've ever had...lol
  12. Skook warning is for a 4-6 inch slopfest. Glad to be on the outside looking in...lol
  13. This is the one I looked at. Kuchera is even worse.
  14. Just saw the latest NAM's. Basically no appreciable accumulation even in Tamaqua.
  15. Sometimes I'm up at 1am Phx time. All our first deliveries are 7am. I never really thought we'd see temps that cold, although it has happened a couple of times in the past. This morning I had to remote start the Jeep due to frost. So far the low for today is 32.5 degrees.
  16. I know the p-types with this storm have been talked about for days, but seeing up to 40 mph winds in the watch text this morning kind of surprised me.
  17. These two posts are exactly why I despised winter and snow. Until I became a trucker, I loved both.
  18. The GFS is the polar opposite so who knows. It's 10 days out so probably won't verify, but I don't think I've ever seen a colder depiction for Phoenix and the entire southwest.
