  1. For those who think AZ weather is boring, I give you this. My forecast has 3" of rain on the high end from now through Sunday.
  2. This is HIGHLY unusual for the Phoenix metro area, but as of right now, this upcoming weekend looks soggy... Friday Night Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 78. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Saturday Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 91. East southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Saturday Night Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 77. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Sunday A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  3. I've come to realize that it's not the Tamaqua Split, it's the VOYAGER SPLIT. Severe storms to my northwest this afternoon weakened and died and reformed over Central and South Phoenix. It's not the location that kills the storms, it's the weather geek that kills 'em.
  4. So I was washing my mom's car this morning, and two wild coyotes were across the street. I didn't see the roadrunner yet, though...lol
  5. Oh, it was 49.1 for the low in Tamaqua this morning, and so far 79.8 here in the desert.
  6. Wherever I am, there the split shall be also...lol It rained nearly everywhere yesterday, except in my backyard region.
  7. Yea though I walk through the valley... I just wonder if ANY of the storms will make it to the blue dot. They're nearly stationary, but generally drifting to the northwest.
  8. Check out the cloud structure of this building potential storm...
  9. If I'm posting too much Arizona stuff let me know, but here at high noon the temp is only 85 degrees.
  10. Not too often. Only if clouds hold like they are so far today. Still, even if it stays overcast all day, we'll likely get to at least 95.
  11. 10am and only 82 here in Phoenix. Tamaqua is 87. We had a storm this morning before sunrise, and right now it's nearly 100% overcast here, so that's holding the temps down.
  12. Tamaqua high was 95 today. Even with all the heat and humidity, nearly every morning the temps drop to the mid to upper 60's.
  13. Currently in Sun City (Phoenix) AZ. Check out the dewpoint and heat index. So much for a dry heat...lol.
  14. My Tamaqua high today was 95 and the heat index high was 105.
  15. If I play my cards right and stay in Phoenix long enough, Blizz's snow maps will bring a smile to even MY face...
  16. Most are native plantings with rocks, but duplex areas have grass. These places were built in the 1970s with Midwestern retirees in mind. BTW...the storm missed me to the west...lol Got a helluva light show, though!
  17. If I were, no one else in the neighborhood would be happy, that's for sure...lol
