Cracked our first 50 of 2025. It's currently 50 after a "so far" high for the day of 51.

It would figure. I got that new job, and that will be my first week. We always get snow when I start a new job in the cold weather months...

How did you get so cold? My low this morning looks to only be 20.

My last measurement was 3/4 inch, but pics I saw from Hazleton looked like even they got between one and two inches.

So I measured an extremely fluffy half inch of snow here. We had decent flake size so there are "air gaps", for lack of a better term, in the snow that lays on the board.

OMG...lol I actually worked with one when I was out in Arizona. He didn't work or drive the truck in any "outfits", but he did do conventions and stuff As for our snow, it's so light that it would take an entire winter to get an inch

They just might. I was contacted yesterday by a company that can offer me a day shift position with an automatic truck, which I need due to a bad shoulder. My past history is that whenever I start a new job, we get major storm(s).

Wind? I'll be lucky to get a gust over 25 mph. I don't know if my stations anemometer is wrong/broken, or if it really is the fact that I'm boxed in by 400ft hills in close proximity to my house.

Yes, the wind is definitely going to be a problem. We've had an ongoing wind/tree problem here all winter. In fact, one event bit me in the ass back in early January. I was coming off the Blue Mountain northbound and as I rounded a bend in the road, a tree had fallen and lowered the wires that crossed over 309. Lucky me. I was the first tractor trailer there, and I caught those low wires with the trailer and snapped a telephone pole and brought every wire completely down across the road, and caused a royal mess. Cops took the report, said it wasn't my fault, and sent me on my way, but it tied up traffic there for over half a day.

Just a mere 15 minutes after I made that post, we flipped to sleet, and now have freezing drizzle. Temp up one to 29.

Just measured. 1.5" here. All snow still. Temp 28
