  1. Sitting at .95" here in Tamaqua. Not sure if I can pick up the .06" needed to break the 1.00" mark. We shall see.
  2. Welcome to Pennsylvania where the roads cave even when it's not snowing...
  3. A half inch in the tipper so far this morning. Looks like a bit of a dry slot heading toward me per future radar, though. I just hope it stays overcast all day after the rain ends. As much as I love bright, sunny days, I like my Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas days, to be grey and cold looking. It adds to the "ambiance".
  4. Well, if true, I'll have a few extra days off in the next few weeks if they hit Mon-Fri. The 8,000 gallon tank I pull needs a permit because the truck weighs 100,000lbs. The permit specifically states the roads must be clear of snow or ice from shoulder to shoulder to run. Not sure if I should pray for snow or not...
  5. Mixed snow and rain now in my forecast for Turkey day morning.
  6. .36" in the bucket. Looks like it's finished though.
  7. I wish... Thanksgiving Day Partly sunny, with a high near 74. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
  8. Ended up with an event total of 1.76" of which, one inch fell as snow, at least what had accumulated. It may have been more before and after.
  9. Just got home. Looks like about an inch in my Tamaqua backyard.
  10. Winner winner chicken dinner... Hell of a good storm for you up there!
  11. My loading location at the base of the Blue Mountain on the Schuylkill County side off of PA309. Looks like about an inch on non paved surfaces.
  12. I'm down in Allentown delivering water, but my backyard Tamaqua temp is 32.9 so any colder and the roads are going to start to get covered.
  13. Snowing good south of Tamaqua. Roads are wet, but Penn Dot is salting. Grass, trees, and cars are coated, though.
  14. So 1,000ft seems to be somewhat key at the moment. At 825ft at my house, a 50-50 rain/snow mix. On a 1,025ft ridge, nearly all snow. At work, which is 620ft, about 75-25 rain/snow. Nowhere, though, was there any accumulation yet.
  15. Also, per radar, the significant precipitation stayed north and east of my location as well.
  16. No snow in the Tamaqua backyard as of 1:45am. I guess 800ft is to low. Seeing just a couple flakes mixed in with the rain looking at the streetlight.
  17. Ah, I see. I've been working 12 hour days all week and had errands after work, so I've not looked at a model. I've been living through you guys for my weather info.
  18. My confidence level on the current storm is diminishing. All the good radar returns are north and east. Unless it pivots southwest, I don't see my area getting much.
  19. I get up at 1:30am daily to start my shift at 3am. I guess I'll get to see prime time without taking any special measures.
  20. Back to weather. What a strange radar presentation currently. When does what's hitting the Poconos get pulled back west, or does other areas fill in with what's moving east?
  21. Already went through there. Now it's homeward bound.
  22. Sitting in the sun in Sunbury, but there's rain to my east and mixed rain and snow to my west.
  23. Today's my last day on it. The guys who took it over when I went to AZ are on vacation. I was filling in for them.
  24. And just like that, it's over, for now... But just like this radar image shows, I did see a few wet snowflakes coming down I-81 by the Hegins exit as the precip ended.
