  1. Per CTP, we may see some of the Alberta fire smoke this weekend. https://www.weather.gov/ctp/weatherstory
  2. WNEP's weather guy last night had hot in the forecast graphic for a high of 85 degrees.
  3. Hey man, I was giving you the AMWX special discount. Cheepskate...
  4. I don't know about the Tamaqua Split, but the heavy rain I did encounter yesterday was mostly while I was in the truck enroute to my deliveries and pick ups which was nice. And no, I've not been to Bubbler's abode yet...lol
  5. I jinxed myself with all that staying dry talk. Only 0.08" in my backyard...lol
  6. Just looked at radar, and it appears I'm living on borrowed time. I've had a few showers while driving, but so far I've stayed rain-free at my load and unload locations. That stroke of luck looks like it's soon coming to an end.
  7. We need rain, but I'm getting tired of it waiting until I start my 2pm work shift to start. Then it ends by midnight, ironically right when I park the truck at the end of my shift.
  8. I was shocked when I saw it. The only rain in the entire state, and it just popped up out of nowhere.
  9. Where did this come from? I didn't think any rain/storms were forecasted for tonight.
  10. Alright, who wants their lawn watered? I'm loading one up right now...
  11. Even better. When I came back they put me on an 8,000 gallon tank.
  12. It's cooler, but I'm not noticing the less humid part, either.
  13. Getting soaked in Allentown at my delivery location for the second time tonight. It just doesn't want to stop raining here. Nearest station here showing 0.89", and it's still raining. I thought it would stop shortly after the line blew through.
  14. We've been in solid sunshine all morning. Currently 92 degrees here. Missed out on last night's storms. Let's see what happens here today, considering the abundant sunshine.
  15. I don't know. It appears I'm in the ballpark. I'm sitting with DP of 73, and many stations are on or two degrees more or less than mine. Look at Allentown for example.
  16. Yes. A baseball's throw just west of the Little Schuylkill River which runs right through town.
  17. 90 degrees at 10am. Outside of Arizona, I don't think I've ever recorded an earlier 90 reading at my location.
  18. I did question this the past couple of days, but comparing my station against a mercury thermometer in the shade on my back porch, the numbers are comparable. I just now looked at the NWS hourly roundup, and my current 71 dewpoint is equally comparable with all the reporting stations in the region. If it's off, it's not by much.
  19. All this hype about the heat index for the upcoming days, and just last week I recorded a 110 and a 113 heat index, or "feels like" temperature if you prefer on my home station. So far they say what? 105? If so, my recordings were much higher and much worse.
  20. 93 steamy degrees here. That morning rain made it really humid now.
