  1. 68 was my overnight/morning low. It, however, has already bumped up 4 degrees to 72. Yesterday's high was 95, and today's forecast is for 92. No matter what, I'm guessing the humidity is going to make for a VERY uncomfortable day. My delivery destinations are either Reading, Trexlertown, or Allentown depending on where I'm sent today. All three of those locations have forecasts of upper 90's, and I start my 2nd shift job at 2:00pm, so to say I'm not looking forward to my first two deliveries, is an understatement.
  2. Dry air and being away from an urban heat island can create some dramatic diurnal temperature swings. Graphic courtesy of the NWS Flagstaff.
  3. So sorry to hear this. Hope all is well with them otherwise and that you hear from them soon.
  4. Heat advisory for tomorrow, then the remnants of Beryl on Wednesday/Thursday? Thoughts?
  5. Too many of those lately. Last year it was 119 on three days, and of course all the various heat records that were set. Most consecutive 110 days Most days of 115+ Warmest overnight low @ 98 Etc...
  6. Only if the eye follows the river channel precisely. One deviation left or right and it's curtains for said hurricane.
  7. But I can tell you that 90-95 in Arizona when the humidity is under 10% is rather comfortable, especially in the shade, and even moreso if there's a breeze. Here, I felt like I was going to die in my seat at that wedding yesterday with a 90 degree temperature simply because of the humidity. By the time the service was over, my shirt was wet as even my torso was profusely sweating.
  8. It was just brutal today, but previous days have bothered me, too.
  9. I don't know what happened to me, but I was at an outdoor wedding today, and the heat/humidity really got to me. I was sitting there, baking in the sun, wishing that it was October.
  10. Got 0.11" of surprise rain sometime after midnight last night. That followed 0.10" earlier yesterday afternoon, for a total of 0.21" the past 24 hours.
  11. The severe storms ended up missing me to the south yesterday, but I did pick up 0.45" of beneficial rain. Nothing heavy, so most of it soaked in as opposed to running off.
  12. Everytime things look "ominous" and I post on Facebook about an incoming severe storm, I end up eating crow. You'd think by now I'd know better, but no...
  13. Looked like we were going to take a direct hit, and then....just a bit outside.
  14. As of now, the complex is bearing down on the Skook. Per future radar, it could get interesting here.
