  1. I was just gonna ask, where's my rain? CTP had me down for 1-2 inches, but it's nowhere to be found.
  2. Wow! That's quite the difference between locations. So far, today's tally is 0.15"
  3. I thought Sunday was supposed to be the big rain day, but then I see this... Today Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm, then showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. High near 73. Southeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible. Beyond that, the high end of my point and click forecast is 4.5" by Monday.
  4. That would be a good thing. Even if we get a passing shower or two, the day would be salvageable. One year, we had an all-day soaker with temps in the low 60's with everyone stuck sitting under the pavilion for entire event, with many wearing hoodies as it was quite damp and chilly. It was a miserable day.
  5. So, range of qpf for the Tamaqua area is between 1.5 and 2.5 inches for the weekend event per my point and click forecast. Of course it's welcome from a drought standpoint, but it's going to totally F up our family reunion event on Saturday. It's always the third weekend of August, and most times the weather is quite nice, but it appears that it won't be the case this year.
  6. Lol...I know you are. In all honesty, that renegade storm ruined a night out as it was the high school "Meet the Raiders" pep rally event where the fall sports teams, cheerleaders, and marching band members are introduced to the public. It obviously got canceled.
  7. Getting pounded by a surprise storm that's moving south from Hazleton.
  8. Yeah. I needed 4 staples to close it. It's sore and smarts at times, but it really pulls and hurts, mostly when I drink something for some reason.
  9. Had to air up a tire on my truck, but had to go under another trailer with the air hose to get to it.
  10. My day shift truck partner shot these at the spring last night...
  11. I hear ya. Not only is the low visibility bad, but the insanely loud splats of the raindrops hitting the windshield can be unnerving.
  12. So many times it's like this. Gorgeous weather the day after a big storm.
  13. So the final tally for my backyard station from yesterday was 4.43" giving me 5.96" for the week/event starting with the storms on Tuesday afternoon.
  14. Torrential rain now. Up to 1.53" now for today. Might crack 2" if it continues for awile. My apologies for being a Debby downer during this event...
  15. Getting our best rain/wind now with a band moving in from the southwest. Looks like things might settle down some before I start my work shift, however.
