  1. We need rain, bad. Large wildfire on the Blue Mountain in the Palmerton/Walnutport area of Carbon and Northampton County. That's about 25 miles from me. https://www.wfmz.com/_homepage_top_stories/fast-moving-brush-fire-closes-roads-burns-multiple-acres-in-northampton-county/article_2638c690-9965-11ef-b92b-0ff9dd40207c.html#tncms-source=Homepage-Top-Stories
  2. Farther west, colder temps most likely because my backyard sits at 845 feet. Also we had some wind to keep radiational cooling to a minimum.
  3. Wow! You are 12 degrees colder than me. 47.7 here.
  4. On the ironic side of things, the temperature this morning is the same 48 degrees in both Tamaqua AND Sun City....
  5. There you go again. Always one degree colder than me...
  6. Looks like 82 (81.9) is going to be my high for the day.
  7. I almost wish it was a day later. Just semantics, but it would be that much more impressive if the calendar said November. Between the temps like this plus the scant 0.09" of rain we got this month, I feel I like I'm back in Arizona.
  8. Gotta wonder if, at some point, we get restricted on how much water we can pull for our spring water customers. Or, maybe business consumer draws are exempt?
  9. And as I mentioned yesterday, our shop, located in Andreas is colder. It's 26 in the yard down here.
  10. Yup. That's how it is at our shop. In the dead of winter, if it's between 0 and 5 degrees in town, at work there's a good possibility that it's below zero.
  11. If I lived where my company shop is located, I would have. It sits in the lowest spot in a creek valley in West Penn Township, south of Tamaqua and at the base of the Blue Mountain, and the cold air always drains to there. Almost every winter morning it's 2 to 5 degrees colder than surrounding locations.
  12. Every damn day. Just can't let me win one, can you???
  13. Getting closer to dipping below 30 for the first time this season. Currently 30.4 at 7:30am. Coldest morning since I'm back in PA. Perhaps upper 20's tomorrow?
  14. lol... Seriously though, it's mostly southeast of the big river that has shown the change. Everywhere else appears to be the same.
  15. Moderate drought has crept into Schuylkill County this past week. Comparison maps week of October 14th and week of October 21.
  16. My wife and mother-in-law both love bingo, and my MIL's name is (seriously) Gladys. You have just put an image in my mind I'd rather not have...lol
  17. Got a few raindrops in the backyard this super early morning...
  18. Early nooners. 80.2 already in my Tamaqua backyard.
