This is true, though. The highs and lows (68/46) the next couple of days are typical mid-January temperatures in Phoenix.

With it being so blustery, it feels more like the day after a winter storm than mid/late August.

They were, weren't they? At the same time Flagstaff had an epic 22/23 winter, and 23/24 wasn't too shabby, either.

Imagine how I feel. I've got to re-acclimate after two winters away.

As I figured, more rain to the east of me. Here at the house we got 0.48", but areas along and east of the Schuylkill/ Carbon County line got between 1.5 and 2 inches.

Picked up a quick half inch, and we were on the western periphery of the storm complex. Points east probably got more.

I was just gonna ask, where's my rain? CTP had me down for 1-2 inches, but it's nowhere to be found.

I thought Sunday was supposed to be the big rain day, but then I see this... Today Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm, then showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. High near 73. Southeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible. Beyond that, the high end of my point and click forecast is 4.5" by Monday.

That would be a good thing. Even if we get a passing shower or two, the day would be salvageable. One year, we had an all-day soaker with temps in the low 60's with everyone stuck sitting under the pavilion for entire event, with many wearing hoodies as it was quite damp and chilly. It was a miserable day.

So, range of qpf for the Tamaqua area is between 1.5 and 2.5 inches for the weekend event per my point and click forecast. Of course it's welcome from a drought standpoint, but it's going to totally F up our family reunion event on Saturday. It's always the third weekend of August, and most times the weather is quite nice, but it appears that it won't be the case this year.
