  1. Too many of those lately. Last year it was 119 on three days, and of course all the various heat records that were set. Most consecutive 110 days Most days of 115+ Warmest overnight low @ 98 Etc...
  2. Only if the eye follows the river channel precisely. One deviation left or right and it's curtains for said hurricane.
  3. But I can tell you that 90-95 in Arizona when the humidity is under 10% is rather comfortable, especially in the shade, and even moreso if there's a breeze. Here, I felt like I was going to die in my seat at that wedding yesterday with a 90 degree temperature simply because of the humidity. By the time the service was over, my shirt was wet as even my torso was profusely sweating.
  4. It was just brutal today, but previous days have bothered me, too.
  5. I don't know what happened to me, but I was at an outdoor wedding today, and the heat/humidity really got to me. I was sitting there, baking in the sun, wishing that it was October.
  6. Got 0.11" of surprise rain sometime after midnight last night. That followed 0.10" earlier yesterday afternoon, for a total of 0.21" the past 24 hours.
  7. The severe storms ended up missing me to the south yesterday, but I did pick up 0.45" of beneficial rain. Nothing heavy, so most of it soaked in as opposed to running off.
  8. Everytime things look "ominous" and I post on Facebook about an incoming severe storm, I end up eating crow. You'd think by now I'd know better, but no...
  9. Looked like we were going to take a direct hit, and then....just a bit outside.
  10. As of now, the complex is bearing down on the Skook. Per future radar, it could get interesting here.
  11. Unless I see the infamous Tamaqua Split, future radar looks nice for my area...
  12. Getting our second round of rain, but I won't know how much. We lost power from the first storm, so while the gauge is working, the receiving unit isn't reading it.
  13. Just looked at yesterday's data for my station. I recorded a peak wind gust of 26.2 mph, which is the highest I've ever had on this station due to its somewhat sheltered location. I'm guessing we had close to 50 mph gusts at times, especially judging by the brush that was scattered about the roadways.
  14. Disintegration confirmed. We got about 20 raindrops. Nothing but a big fat goose egg in my rain gauge.
  15. Truth... I'm kind of surprised that with a near 100% overcast, I'm still sitting at 91 degrees. Not too often that happens in my backyard.
