  1. I call it the Tamaqua Split. I tried registering it as a trademark but the office folks said no...lol
  2. Every model (globals and mesos) show the squall line with the FROPA. It should be interesting when it blows through...
  3. Most (including Tamaqua) in my area moved trick or treat to Friday or Saturday.
  4. Got about 1.35" of rain since yesterday noontime. Another nice soaking. Wish I'd have seeded my whole yard instead of just the bare spots. The recent rain and mild temps have really allowed the new grass so grow and mature before winter sets in.
  5. I just had one tonight after supper, and I liked it, but like you said, not a beer to be drinking a bunch of at one time. My wife took a sip and you should have seen her face...lol. She would have made the Keystone bitter beer commercial actors proud!!!
  6. Looks like a big old dry slot per the models for true CPA with this upcoming Wednesday event...
  7. Hey nut, can you edit the thread title to add Central PA to it? Otherwise it could be mistaken for an Upstate NY or Pittsburgh thread.
  8. Other than rip currents, it appears that the sea will be fairly calm down in Cape May this weekend. Tomorrow is likely to be the swim day and this is the ocean forecast... Sunday S wind 7 to 12 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.
  9. All I know is it's this morning in Hazleton where I start my work day. Temp is 42 degrees as I type this...
  10. It was 48 when I started my Jeep this morning...
  11. I was wondering about the waves. They were pretty rough when I was down in OCMD as Dorian moved northeast. So much so that our after dinner sunset cruise stayed in the marina and back bay instead of going out in the Atlantic up the beach like it normally does. One of the things I wanted to do was take the ferry over to Lewes, but it may be a recipe for a seasick wife if the seas are that rough...
  12. Heading to Cape May this weekend for a little three day beach vacation. The forecast (at this point) is just absolutely stellar!!! Saturday Sunny, with a high near 76. Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 68. Sunday Sunny, with a high near 76. Sunday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 69. Monday Sunny, with a high near 77.
  13. It was. I wonder if it had anything to do with downsloping, though. Mag?
  14. Not if you were in SWPA (Pittsburgh area). I took a PSU soccer team out there for a game in Pleasant Hills, and the gray drizzlies ended as I was coming down off the Laurels, and it was sunny and 86 out there during the afternoon...
  15. We rolled out at 11am. Rain wasn't too bad yet at that time.
  16. It funny though. I can't even do a coastal location with a approaching tropical system right. It was supposed to get going (for what it was going to do) by this evening. What happens? He slows down and now tropical conditions might be here almost 24 hours later than originally thought...AFTER we leave for home.
  17. Yup. Just saw that. We roll out of here at 11am Friday, but I'm sure I'll see some effects. I almost with we were staying until Saturday now...lol
  18. Thanks MAG! Next interest is the 21-23 timeframe when the wife and I do her birthday vacation in Cape May. The Atlantic basin has become quite active, so I'll be watching the tropics for the next few weeks.
  19. I'll be in a boardwalk motel, but not sure of surge with a NE track and winds from the north parallel to the beach. I guess I "shouldn't" hope for a closer in track, but I am a weenie, so...lol
