  1. Sitting under the Ben Franklin Bridge on the Camden side enjoying thunderstorm round two this morning. This one's bringing heavier rain with it.
  2. And yet CTP's graphical qpf map had the heaviest rain east of the Susquehanna...lol
  3. Looks like the guidance I mentioned last night (for my area anyway) appears to be correct. Sitting at 0.70" currently. I doubt I even make it to one inch. A far cry from the 2-3 that the NWS was forecasting.
  4. I was just about to post the same exact thing you did. Most of that line to the west misses to the west of the Susquehanna as well as my area per the HRRR. Not sure what to make of the less organized cluster to the south. Will that make it into the areas missed by the line and will there be any lightning with it?
  5. You do have a point. I certainly didn't expect that 3 inches. That was Saturday morning. We got two more on Sunday night. The Schuylkill River here is still running high. I was just surprised at the lower qpf on the GFS, and especially the NAM, which usually has a wet bias.
  6. Looks like most of the 18z guidance shows less than 2 inches of rain for most.
  7. That's not what I wanted to hear, but I suppose it could be a possibility. This was my initial thought. The last few years seem to feature a much warmer October and a much cooler April.
  8. Not much seemed to happen in Lancaster, but...I was inside the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, so I wouldn't have heard much over the music anyway.
  9. It looks to me like it might be a night of interrupted sleep. If I'm seeing the models right, on my small phone screen, the second line (cold front) looks to roll through around or after midnight. Am I right?
  10. Doing an overnighter in Lancaster today into tomorrow. Better chances down that way, or up here in Tamaqua?
  11. @canderson, please let us know (when you can) that you are ok and safe...
  12. Woke up 15 minutes ago and checked my weather station and SURPRISE...the rainfall total for the event (so far) was 3.18". USGS site a quarter mile north of me...
  13. Getting quite a gullywasher here at the moment. So far up to 0.83" and downpouring.
  14. It's all good. One day, though, perhaps. My boss told me about the place where I park. It's certainly not the best part of Harrisburg, but it's fairly close to the capitol building (we have to drop and run), and there are three different places to eat there. So far, no one has bothered me there.
  15. 43 gray, damp degrees here in Tamaqua this morning. It feels very raw outside. Saturday looks to be a rather nice day, though.
  16. I'm at my favorite Harrisburg hiding place, the shopping center at 7th and Division Sts, so if anyone wants to stop and say hi (or shoot me for wishing winter away...lol) I'll be here until about 1pm...
  17. All snow, light and steady now. Not going to accumulate at 39 degrees, but it's flakeage and not pingers, which is a bit of a surprise. I thought we'd be all rain by this point in the day.
  18. Getting some big, fat flurries at the moment in Tamaqua after a bit of a lull...
