I don't know. It appears I'm in the ballpark. I'm sitting with DP of 73, and many stations are on or two degrees more or less than mine. Look at Allentown for example.

Yes. A baseball's throw just west of the Little Schuylkill River which runs right through town.

90 degrees at 10am. Outside of Arizona, I don't think I've ever recorded an earlier 90 reading at my location.

I did question this the past couple of days, but comparing my station against a mercury thermometer in the shade on my back porch, the numbers are comparable. I just now looked at the NWS hourly roundup, and my current 71 dewpoint is equally comparable with all the reporting stations in the region. If it's off, it's not by much.

All this hype about the heat index for the upcoming days, and just last week I recorded a 110 and a 113 heat index, or "feels like" temperature if you prefer on my home station. So far they say what? 105? If so, my recordings were much higher and much worse.

93 steamy degrees here. That morning rain made it really humid now.

So that unexpected little storm dropped 0.27" in my backyard. Now they've gone severe warned in Berks and Lehigh Counties.

So that un-predicted little storm dropped 0.27" in my backyard.

I'm at 91 / 94 / 88 for those same three days. We'll see if they bust low for my backyard.

My station is evidently correct. Full sun and reading 83. The mercury thermometer in the shade under our patio roof is 82. I guess Tamaqua has just become one of the warmer locations in the region.

Mine could be right. An old mercury thermometer on my back patio which is in the shade, but gets some trapped heat due to a restricted airflow, reads 96 currently while my station reads 91. Hard to say for sure.

So my high today is 94 (93.7) so far, which seems quite a bit higher than the forecast, and higher than every other official station (Allentown, Lehighton, Philly, etc) Makes me wonder if the fan isn't working properly, or if my sensor is off.

I have no idea, as I was home and in bed when it all occurred, but 2.5 fell near our Reading customer, and between 1 and 2 inches fell from Berks into the Lehigh Valley per the various PWS's I perused.

We had sprinkles here, that didn't even move the needle. 0.00" yesterday and overnight. I'm just glad those heavy rains came after midnight. Both our Reading and Allentown water plants were dead in the crosshairs, but I was done and parked the truck at 11:30pm. I guess the overnight shift drivers got soaked.

Apparently some slow movers rolled through Berks and Lehigh Counties this overnight morning. Those areas have a flood warning with some locations getting 2-3 inches of rain. Meanwhile, up here on the other side of the Blue Mountain, we remained high and dry.

I've got a winch on my Jeep, so actually I could just pull them out of the way...lol

Hopefully after midnight. By then I'll be (hopefully) done with my shift and have the truck parked.
