    Got 2" from this morning's little event. Snow has stopped. Question is, do we see any action later on, or are we done for the day?

    Snowing in Tamaqua with an eyeballed half inch already.

    Round two underway... Looks like about a half inch already.

    Well, I just now perused Pivotal Weather and the NAM, HRRR, and RAP surely are interesting for tomorrow. In some cases a repeat performance of this morning.

    You think? I haven't looked at models, other than maps shown on social media since I was shoveling most of the day. Most do show snow of varying degrees of intensity and where the western edge is. CTP mentions snow in my forecast, but nothing as of yet about accumulations.

    Actually crazy. Going back to Wednesday, it looked like we weren't going to see much, if any, snow this weekend. I'm probably close to 4" and some places in the Lehigh Valley are pushing 6". If that snow tomorrow morning verifies, some of us might see 6-8 plus by Monday morning.

    Went out for a Dunkin run this morning. First photo 9:45am Center St (309) Tamaqua. Second photo backyard measurement 10:15am.

    I didn't measure yet, but looks like about an inch and a half. Closing in on the low end with big fatties falling.

    Came downstairs for my third coffee, and we now have light/moderate snow. It's interesting how our forecast went from nothing on Wednesday to up to one inch yesterday morning to 1-3 yesterday afternoon to now 2-4.

    Got a light dusting overnight, but it looks like a heavier burst is about to move in. 25/22 is the current temp/dew point.

    My NWS forecast did indicate the two separate periods of precipitation, so we'll see.

    My NWS forecast says up to an inch possible tomorrow.

    There's a video on YouTube of a guy running Hell's Revenge out in Moab, UT in a Prius. Why he did, I'll never know... My pleasure, I think.

    Ugh...where did this Saturday snow come from? I'm likely picking up a new vehicle on Saturday, (trading in the Jeep for a GMC Terrain) and am not exactly wanting it's maiden voyage to be on snowy or icy roads.

    Sometimes I'll jokingly post about it, but not to complain about it.

    This is how I feel. I'm not big on nickel and diming with clippers. If it's going to snow, then I want it to be a worthwhile storm.

    Well, I guess we can't go more than 24 hours without salt covered roads...ugh.

    Beat me by a hundredth. I had .42 from .15 on Friday and .27 yesterday.

    I remember from the past, that some of biggest storms followed absolutely beautiful days which were sometimes almost spring-like.

    So the 15th is perfect. You travel in safety, and I get a day off. Win-win situation. There's nothing worse than spending three hours digging out before the sun comes up, then working a 12 hour day on perhaps dicey roads, because if the roads are somewhat passable, boss man will want us to run.

    If we're going to get one storm, I'd rather it be Friday instead of Sunday. That way, I get a day off work, then the weekend to clean it up. A Sunday storm would make me work my ass off Monday morning, then be at work by 8am.

    Low to mid 50's in Allentown, but only 46 in my backyard. Wish it was sunnier, but we're mostly cloudy here.

    The 16th would be a great day for it. It'd give me a Friday off day, then the weekend to dig it out.

    I'll add that while I have a general disdain for winter, I still enjoy tracking the big dogs. When it comes to a straight up Miller A or KU storm, I'm right there with the rest of you rooting it on. I'm a go big or go home person. I just don't care for prolonged arctic outbreaks, small nuisance storms, mixed events, endless cloudy days, and most of all, the ice at work.
