  1. I scored big time. Got 3.65" here in Tamaqua. Icing on the cake is that it hit just as I finished my work shift and got in the Jeep, so on a personal level, I stayed dry! Here's proof if anyone doubts.
  2. Most of the models have me getting soaked sometime between 8pm and midnight.
  3. This is the thing, and I agree with you. For meteorological purposes, mean temperatures count as far as whether it's a hot summer or not. For most of us though, we gauge the heat by the afternoon high temp. Perception is key. The more 90's, the hotter the summer seems to most of the average population.
  4. Anyone else but me notice the milky gray/white sky and a bit of haze from the smoke from the western fires?
  5. I saw the lightning from that storm all the way over here. Checked radar, and it looked like it was headed my way, so I put the wife's hanging plants out in the yard for a natural drink. Well, it fell apart, and we only got 0.01" out of it...lol
  6. Per CTP, we may see some of the Alberta fire smoke this weekend. https://www.weather.gov/ctp/weatherstory
  7. At least the "hot" graphic is in the right place...lol
  8. WNEP's weather guy last night had hot in the forecast graphic for a high of 85 degrees.
  9. Hey man, I was giving you the AMWX special discount. Cheepskate...
  10. I don't know about the Tamaqua Split, but the heavy rain I did encounter yesterday was mostly while I was in the truck enroute to my deliveries and pick ups which was nice. And no, I've not been to Bubbler's abode yet...lol
  11. I jinxed myself with all that staying dry talk. Only 0.08" in my backyard...lol
  12. Just looked at radar, and it appears I'm living on borrowed time. I've had a few showers while driving, but so far I've stayed rain-free at my load and unload locations. That stroke of luck looks like it's soon coming to an end.
  13. We need rain, but I'm getting tired of it waiting until I start my 2pm work shift to start. Then it ends by midnight, ironically right when I park the truck at the end of my shift.
  14. I was shocked when I saw it. The only rain in the entire state, and it just popped up out of nowhere.
  15. Where did this come from? I didn't think any rain/storms were forecasted for tonight.
  16. Alright, who wants their lawn watered? I'm loading one up right now...
  17. Even better. When I came back they put me on an 8,000 gallon tank.
  18. It's cooler, but I'm not noticing the less humid part, either.
  19. Getting soaked in Allentown at my delivery location for the second time tonight. It just doesn't want to stop raining here. Nearest station here showing 0.89", and it's still raining. I thought it would stop shortly after the line blew through.
  20. We've been in solid sunshine all morning. Currently 92 degrees here. Missed out on last night's storms. Let's see what happens here today, considering the abundant sunshine.
