  1. And there you go, bursting my bubble(r)...
  2. This is often the time that north trends commence, which Is why I was initially bummed when I woke up this morning. Hopefully the eps is seeing something and we'll eventually get that north trend.
  3. What a frustrating hobby being a weather geek is... I woke up this morning hoping to see positive trends overnight wrt Monday's "event", but no dice. Still the same with most models holding the confluence and keeping the storm (and the snow) south, and allowing it to string out. I know it's early, and there's still time for things to trend better, but I'm losing hope on this bringing anything but flurries to a light dusting north of the turnpike and east of the mountains.
  4. Lightning, thunder, hail, and storms all over SEPA. But here, just light rain. Nothing exciting happens here weatherwise. Even wind events are meh in Tamaqua. Now we get prolonged cold (which I hate) but perhaps little if any snowfall to at least make it worthwhile. Ugh...
  5. This is a bit more zoomed. I took it to 168 as it's still snowing past 150. Also, this is 10:1 as I don't have the Kuchera map.
  6. I'm not sure I'm buying what the GFS is selling. This may stay south, but I'm not sure it'll be that far south.
  7. Man...the 12z ICON. Shift that 75 miles north and it's game on for most of us.
  8. That's good, and thanks for replying, but it would have been nice if he elaborated a bit more, but I guess one event at a time.
  9. So right now the focus seems to be from the M/D Line and points south. What's to keep this from creeping north the closer we get to game time? Is it possible, or is that just not something the pattern supports?
  10. I know some of the models from time to time threw out some biblical numbers, which is everyone's white dream, but I do believe we easily see at least 3-6 from one or multiple events. I don't believe we'll be completely shut out.
  11. I agree. The snow I can deal with. Extreme cold? No thanks.
  12. So we did a thing yesterday. We rescued this little girl off the streets. I'm not a big fan of keeping her kenneled until she sees the vet on Thursday, but it's our only option, as we have already have a cat, and they need to be kept apart until she gets her shots and blood work. Once that happens, she will be "paroled" and free to play with her new brother and enjoy a warm, safe, loving home.
  13. Ralph Wiggum in the Philly forum has posted about this many times. Many times the theory has proven true.
  14. I haul bulk spring water. Bitterly cold is not my friend...lol
  15. Meanwhile, this happened just a couple miles from my house. Pretty cool video if you wait for the commercial to end. https://www.pahomepage.com/top-stories/police-chase-through-luzerne-county-ends-in-arrest/
  16. Correct. And how many times have fish storms trended back and buried us? How many went the too far and cut? No need to panic, or even get depressed, at this point.
  17. And I'm the opposite. I want it warm during the work week so I don't have to deal with frozen trailers and hoses.
  18. I know I'm going to get shot or hung for this, but why can't it be like this all winter?
  19. Damn... Overcast with a very heavy mist/drizzle and 44 here. Just about as ugly as it gets.
  20. No it wasn't, but the idea of a mix (which I abhor) kind of irritated me. Especially with the advertised cold coming. A brief warmup to 33 to 35 with mixed slop sucks. I want a nice, pure snow event.
  21. So the 1/6 storm, per the 6z GFS, cuts to the lakes, then redevelops off the coast of Rhode Island. Amazing....
