  1. Thanks for the reply. The only way I'd get a machine into my backyard is to go through the house...lol I live in a row with no pass through and no back alley/gate to wheel it in. Guess I need to look into something I can use manually and make myself, unless there's a manufacturer that makes one. The previous owner left us those "spike shoes" that strap on to your street shoes, but that was a lesson in futility.
  2. I'm surprised there's no wind advisories for CTP. PHL and northeast have them. We must be just under the threshold, but for me they have gusts to 45 mph tomorrow.
  3. I must be making up for those "Tamaqua Split" events the past few years...lol What are you using to aerify? A machine or a manual one, and if manual, did you make it yourself or buy one? I want to aerate my yard and sand dress it, but I'm landlocked so a big machine isn't an option.
  4. Riding with the wife to work this morning, and we have some mangled snowflakes mixed in with the rain. Temp down to 36 degrees...
  5. Good God... Glad it wasn't worse, and I wish you a speedy and full recovery.
  6. As if on script. Rainfall so far is an even 0.50" in the gauge. I'm guessing maybe another tenth inch or so if radar is to be believed since it looks like the main slug is off to the east and north now...
  7. I was going to say this earlier, but didn't want to look like a negative Nancy. I feel the same way, though.
  8. I am. The baby steps to recovery are growing into toddler steps. I'm 99% out of the sling per the doctor. I'm allowed to drive my personal vehicle, and in many instances can do things for myself again. I'm getting there!
  9. I got 1.11" out of the event. Now it's chilly and windy. As for the Jerry Springer Show....oops...I mean debate, I agree with shutting the mics off. They agreed to 2 minutes of uninterrupted time to answer questions and another 2 minutes for rebuttal. When one was speaking, the other mic should have been muted.
  10. 0.07" in the gauge from what I'd call heavy drizzle this morning...
  11. With a very active railroad line less than a football field away from my house, it might be a no go for me as well, if that's true.
  12. That's quite an intriguing weather station. A bit pricey, but if it's accurate, then it's worth it. Mine is due to be replaced (once I have discretionary funds again) and I would definitely consider this one. If you get it, please let us know how it performs.
  13. 35 here this morning with frost on the roof of my Jeep...and probably on the vegitation in some outlying areas.
  14. Not much of a drop after my post. This morning's low was the same (37) as yesterday's.
  15. Down to 42 before 11pm. I'm thinking we go colder than last night's 37. CTP thinks so, too, as we now have a frost advisory.
  16. Update on our cat Tiger... The vet is leaning toward a middle/inner ear infection, but if she doesn't resolve in 1-2 weeks, it could be something more like a brain lesion. She gave us an antibiotic to give her. We just have to wait and see...
  17. First, thanks everyone for the good wishes for Tiger. Bubbler, we are at 40 inches for the year, but we haven't had a whole lot over the past few weeks. Isaias was the last heavy rain we had. I know you guys need it more than I do, though.
  18. She goes this evening after the wife gets home from work. Right now, with my left arm "tied up", I can't do much and it usually takes two people to get her into a carrier, so my mother in law is going to help. I'll definitely let you know. As for everyday stuff, she still eats, drinks, uses the litterbox, and wants her treats. Her head is still crooked, but sometimes it's not as bad as Tuesday morning when I took the pic. To keep this weather related, if we don't get some rain soon, cacti might start growing here...lol, although the GFS wants to bring some rain into the area beyond hour 240.
