Still below freezing at 31.3, but the rain has stopped for now. Overall, not a lot of accretion. Perhaps 2/10 inch, and that might be generous.

Having a pro met who's willing to post his thoughts on a public message board is an extremely valuable asset for all of us. What you are doing has driven many of them off this board as they (rightfully so I might add) figure it's not worth the effort to post and have to defend themselves from trolls like you. I have no idea how it actually works, but it seems at least to be pretty accurate. Surface temp is rising a bit faster than I expected. Up to 29.5 right now.

We've been mixing from time to time here, so we have and ice and pellet buildup on cars and sidewalks.

I forgot about my drone app. It gives a wind and temp profile for flying. As you can see, it's 26 (my wx station says 28) at the surface and doesn't get above 32 until 2,500ft up.

I didn't expect 28 here this morning, either. Most guidance seemed to be indicting low to perhaps mid 20's at onset of precipitation.

Was quite surprised to see the Ice Storm Warning this morning. There's already a glaze on everything outside that is/wasn't treated. Current temp is 28.2 with light spotty rain at the moment. Radar and future radar indicate that a steadier slug will move in over the next few hours. The big question is are the temps going to hold steady, slowly rise, or quickly rise. Past experience from my own backyard says that we won't see the high end of CTP's quarter to half inch range, as temps generally get to 33 rather quickly (with a few rare exceptions) here for some reason.

So I'm sitting here, and 15 minutes ago I looked at my station display and the temperature was 19.6 degrees. Fifteen minutes later and I'm up to 22.8 degrees. I was kind of hoping to hold the teens at least until the precipitation started. Still, that was quite a quick jump.

Yes it is. I'm an Eagles fan and my wife is a Cowboys fan. We go back and forth bashing each others team, but it's all in fun, and neither one gets gets angry about it.

I don't know. I've been here so long (Wright Weather, Eastern, and now American) that I don't remember who my fellow warmanistas are/were.

I somehow managed to break the freezing mark. I topped out at 34.5 after a low of 10.9

Now that's one even I can root for! It just needs to jackpot an area about 100 miles each side of I-81 instead of the damn I-95 corridor again.

Seeing your temp observation made me think. I need a two degree low this week. That way I can report it as being 2F(n) cold...

Wonder if they go below zero next week...

Holy moley!!! As for the tankers, yes, I've seen the Papetti trucks around. I also knew Michael Foods was near there. Indian River Transport goes in there I guess from time to time.

Bottled water is the "in thing" I suppose. Gives me a paycheck though.

Water is big business. We pull anywhere from 75,000 to 100,000 gallons per day out of some of the springs (wells)...

Oh don't get me started on hoses...lol. Let's just say the one in Hazleton is hard all winter long... Seriously though, that one is a real PITA, and is the one location I hate loading out of because the hose is stored outside, so it freezes, and it's like trying to bend a steel pipe when hooking it up to the trailer.
