  1. And yet, my point&click forecast for Wednesday went from rain likely, heavy at times, this morning, to showers likely with no mention of heavy this evening. .
  2. I hope so. If that map does verify, I'm sure I'm going to have an interesting ride from Tower City through Pillow and up to Sunbury Thursday morning.
  3. I can't seem to get it to load or open on my computer.
  4. They are the summer version of a winter storm when one might have impacts on our area. At least for me, anyway. Like winter, I'm looking at the globals, and then the mesos every cycle checking track, qpf, wind potential, etc. And of course looking and hoping to be the ever elusive bullseye...lol
  5. A classic case of being careful of what you wish for. A few weeks ago, many were begging for rain because it was so dry and lawns were turning brown. Now look... I guess none of us is really ever happy with the current weather we get, myself included. It's always too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry, etc...
  6. 73 was my high. Socked in with a very heavy overcast all day. I did manage to get 0.58" from that surprise shower this morning, though.
  7. The 12z Euro and GFS are practically holding hands as far as the qpf for this upcoming week in PA. The Euro gives me 5.25" while the GFS gives 4.5".
  8. We're going to a concert tonight, but it's indoors. The wife wants to see Voyage, which is a Journey tribute band. While I'm not the biggest Journey fan, some of the songs were good, and these guys look and sound just like them.
  9. I wanna see the reds and oranges pushed a bit north in PA. Right now it appears I'm in the purple 2-2.5 inch area. I want 4-5.
  10. I had no 90 days in May. All of them came since July 1st.
  11. Working on a quarter inch (so far) from an unexpected pop-up shower this morning. No wind, lightning, or thunder, but a good, soaking moderate rain.
  12. I've had 26 days at or above 90 degrees this year so far. I've never kept such detailed records before, but I can't recall a summer with more than this one.
  13. You did better than me. Hazleton (12 miles) and Middleport (8 miles) had 3 and 2 inches respectively. Base of the Blue Mountain on 309 in Snyders (9 miles) had a half inch. Tamaqua proper? A whopping 0.08 inch.
  14. Thanks. The one good storm that we did have this summer came in the middle of the night, and I was so tired that I slept right through it.
  15. Disgusted. So much activity east of the big river and basically nothing in Tamaqua again. Sorry. My rants are probably getting old, but then so is missing out on the action nearly every event.
  16. On my ride home from work and up until twenty minutes ago it looked like we were going to get slammed. Got home put the dog out, saw some flashes of lightning, put Thundershirt on said dog, and checked radar. Good yellow, orange, and some red in the returns JUST to my west. What happened? It fizzled right the f**k out. Got 0.06" out of it.
  17. Should I make that my avatar, or wait until I get a good event?
  18. For years I've watched everyone from the Philly forum, the NYC forum, and even you guys in CPA posting that it's "puking snow", "best lighting I've ever seen", "never saw it rain so hard", etc. I just want my one day where I can be king of the weather hill...
  19. Between Mt Holly and CTP, they wrapped 'em right around the Skook. Could I be on the outside looking in ONCE AGAIN???
  20. I see you trademarked yours as well...lol Last night I missed some good ones as they formed and got everyone from Hazleton to McAdoo and over into Lehighton. Basically anything along and west of 309 got little if any action.
