  1. I really should move to a different region/climate, but in order to do that, I would have to leave/divorce the wife. She won't ever move out of the region. That said, you are correct about us being a pleasant, friendly group. They all like (or at least tolerate ) me and my warmanista ways.
  2. I used to do sports photos for the Times News down here in Lehighton, and I will tell that, no joke, I froze more often shooting spring high school baseball and softball games than I did shooting football in the fall.
  3. Oh wow. I didn't even see your forecast. We're going to nail it...
  4. Is it for our backyard only or for regional locations? If it's just for our own backyard location, after a quick peruse of the models and CTP, I'm going to say 45 for the high, partly to mostly cloudy, with a shower or two possible, but mainly dry.
  5. No I didn't. Not yet anyway. Just got done helping make hot bacon potato salad for the wife's family Christmas party. I'll have to look things over later. Where do I enter it? Just in a regular post?
  6. I don't want to ever wear a coat again. I love the freedom of being able to go outside in shorts and a t-shirt. I actually and literally cringe when I hear someone say to "bundle up". I hate having to layer up in a half a load of laundry each day just to go to work...
  7. lol...I know. This year, with everything going on, I'm just doubly not in the mood for digging out parking spaces, dealing with salt encrusted vehicles, worrying about jackknifing on the back roads from Tower to Sunbury, etc.
  8. I really need to go visit my mom...for about three months.
  9. Look at what I found at my loading facility in Tower City just now...
  10. Now you all know it's going to be wall to wall sunshine on Christmas Day, right? It's always been my preference for Christmas Day to grey, overcast, and "dark", whether it's just cloudy, 25 and snowing, or 45 and raining. I just like the ambiance of an overcast Christmas. On the flip side, I like my Memorial/Independence/Labor Day's to be sunny and dry for picnic and pool events. In most years, it seems as if just the opposite happens.
  11. My niece lives in Flagstaff, AZ and this is her forecast for tonight... Tonight Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 11pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Widespread blowing snow, mainly between midnight and 5am. Low around 10. Wind chill values as low as -5. Windy, with a south wind 30 to 37 mph, with gusts as high as 60 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
  12. Same here. Yesterday was warmer as I was 53 yesterday and 50 today. Even now, I'm already down to 32.
  13. Hit 57 here at 8pm, but now down to 47. Had crazy winds (got blown all around in the Jeep) driving home from Allentown tonight, but here at the house, so far only a measly 11.4 mph peak gust.
  14. Dead calm here with 55 degrees. I saw a video of I-81 north of Tremont on thr ridge, and the fog was really bad. Visibility appeared to be about 50 ft.
  15. Reminds me of old WW2 images from Europe after the bombing raids.
  16. I just looked at yesterday's high for Tamaqua, and somehow managed to top 50 degrees (50.5).
  17. Meanwhile, back in 2015... I shot this pic 6 years ago today just before I mowed the grass...lol
  18. This is why I decided to wash the big truck today. What a waste of ****ing time...
  19. Normally I get it, but this one went "whoosh". I'm not sure I follow...
  20. What's with the snow in the mountains to the west of the Susquehanna? I thought we were done. I got knocked off work after one load, so I figured I'd wash the truck and trailer. Took me three hours to do it. If we get a coating and the roads get wet for the night shift guy, I'm going to be PISSED...
  21. No driving concerns today. I got my first load and got down to the plant in Allentown, and the silos are full...again. If I'm lucky, I "might" get a second load in. I'm scheduled for three.
