  1. There are a few big drifting areas on my route to Allentown from the wells on both 309 and 100. They get dicey from even an inch or two, so it'll be interesting to see how bad they get Monday-Wednesday. I might bring the cameras out to record the ride.
  2. Not at all, and nearly every time, I'm in a jackpot zone, which almost never happens. It'll be interesting to see what the final outcome is going to be and which model verifies.
  3. It's everything nowadays, not just the news industry. Out in Phoenix, they have an fully operational fleet of autonomous taxi cabs that will take you wherever you want to go, and they're still working hard to perfect autonomous big rigs for the trucking industry.
  4. Just saw this now. In light of this comment, may your snow tomorrow melt on contact , and may your trash cans end up off the coast of Cape May...
  5. We are a much friendlier, easy going bunch of folks here.
  6. So with this being called Winter Storm Demi, would it be wrong for me to want Moore snow?
  7. A lot of times, NWS Flagstaff (AZ) will forecast snow showers, even when they're going to get 2 to 3 feet.
  8. Tamaqua bullseye on the 6z RDPS. This is the correct model and outcome...
  9. Me neither. Sub zero is going to suck. No danger of the water freezing in the trailer, but the hoses and valves are going to be a problem.
  10. Seems like Sunday is beginning to "look" like it's going be a decent hit. I guess if we get a good snow cover it'll knock down next week's lows a few more degrees, unless the wind prevents good radiational cooling.
  11. So who is PA Weather Action. Their article on the potential Sunday storm popped up on my Google news stories. Are they descent or no? https://paweatheraction.com/scenarios-for-significant-snowstorm-possible-sunday-into-monday-in-pennsylvania/
  12. Well, CTP put snow back in my forecast for Sunday, so there's that... Sunday A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Sunday Night A chance of snow before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  13. I mostly use Kuchera as it seems to take into consideration temps and snow ratios. In a marginal temperture environment, the Kuchera most times shows less than the 10:1 ratio, and when it's colder and more favorable for snow growth, it'll show higher than 10:1. I'm sure it's not an exact science, but it seems to give a better idea of what might end up being ground truth.
  14. Light snow in Tamaqua. Everything dusted. Salt trucks out... Temp: 20.3
  15. 12 (11.7) is my so far low for Tamaqua. 8 in the colder valley near our company garage where I'm loading water at the moment.
  16. Hell of a cutoff there. As depicted, I'll be loading water with a foot on the ground and taking it to Allentown where they barely have an inch.
  17. Late on the nooners here, but I'm up to 28 currently.
  18. I hope. My job SUCKS when it gets down into the single digits. It starts to suck under about 25, but it really sucks below 10. The life of a bulk water truck driver...
  19. Ugh...next Tuesday. Monday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 1. Tuesday Sunny, with a high near 12
  20. Not minding this mild morning/day at all. I'd be ok if all of winter was just like this...
  21. At least I'm on the right side of the gradient......for now.
